It is sickening that the USA is now lifting sanctions on Russian fuel, and transparently ridiculous to blame Ukraine for the spike in prices that obviously began with the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. Putin is murdering innocent Ukrainian civilians every day. The Ukrainians are fighting for their lives. And yet the White House is apparently determined to force American drivers to bankroll Putin’s slaughter. It won’t work and I doubt it will make much difference to the price of fuel.
If we want Russian oil and gas back on the world market then let’s end this war - with a free, sovereign and independent Ukraine.

Israeli hero aboard nearly-hijacked FlyDubai flight FZ 1073: Yaniv Hayoun
Hayoun has no background in security. But when he realized there was an attempted hijacking, he knew he had to do something.
He ran to the cockpit and physically fought with the co-pilot, who had stabbed the pilot and was attempting to crash the plane. Hayoun put the co-pilot in a chokehold and dragged. him out of the cockpit. Others came over to help restrain him.
Hayoun then went back into the cockpit and pulled back on the yoke to pull the plane out of its nosedive. The plane had dropped 17,000+ feet in under two minutes.
An off-duty pilot then entered the cockpit and took over the controls, and Haroun went back out to help guard the co-pilot.

Замечательный сюжетик из глубокого тыла. В Донецке, в одном из магазинов поставили корзину для сбора гуманитарки штурмовикам из 121-го мотострелкового полка. Понятное дело, рассчитывали увидеть там тушенку, воду, носки, медикаменты... А приходят — и видят рулон черных мусорных пакетов.
Глубокая народная проницательность. Зачем переводить тушенку и переводить продукты, если народ на подсознательном уровне уже понял, что именно является финальным этапом для мобилизованного? Как говорится, "набор 'все включено' — сразу к делу".

Эмблема с хризантемой широко признана в качестве символа Японии, и установка памятника, изображающего ее разрушение, абсолютно неприемлема. Это затрагивает чувства японского народа, и правительство Японии обращалось к российской стороне с решительным требованием приостановить установку памятника и демонтировать его. Мы и дальше намерены настоятельно призывать российскую сторону демонтировать пограничный столб.

Japan’s prime minister strongly condemned Putin’s visit to the Kuril Islands
Sanae Takaichi said the Northern Territories are an integral part of Japan, so such visits are “absolutely unacceptable”.
Takaichi also added that Putin’s trip has intensified anti-Russian sentiment in Japan and made it even more difficult to restore relations between the two countries.

Ukrainian hackers and intelligence experts intercepted control parameters and altered operational data for the 'BARS Moscow' air defense system.
They then exploited severe software vulnerabilities to trick the Russian air defense crew - deployed to protect Moscow - into misidentifying their own high-tech fighter as a hostile threat, triggering the fatal launch.
This unprecedented operation resulted in the complete destruction of a russian Su-57 stealth fighter jet valued at over $100 million.
While the Russian Ministry of Defense publicly attributed the crash to a 'technical failure', Russian military channels and pro-war media quickly confirmed that the jet fell victim to friendly fire.

🇺🇦 In der Nacht zu Dienstag trafen ukrainische Spezialkräfte das Balaklawa-Kraftwerk bei Sewastopol – fast die Hälfte der Stromerzeugung der besetzten Krim hängt an dieser Anlage.
Der Schlag traf die Turbinenhalle, beschädigt wurde laut ersten Angaben das Kühlsystem einer Siemens-Turbine. Falls auch Pumpen zerstört sind: 2 bis 5 Monate Reparatur.
In Sewastopol gilt seither Stromrationierung – 2 Stunden Strom, 6 Stunden dunkel.
Für deutsche Leser besonders pikant: Das Kraftwerk läuft auf Siemens-Turbinen, die 2017 unter Bruch der EU-Sanktionen auf die Krim geschmuggelt wurden. Siemens klagte vergeblich auf Rückgabe. Russland baute sie trotzdem ein.
Die Operation führten Deep-Strike-Einheiten gemeinsam mit dem Untergrund-Widerstand auf der Krim durch. Die Begründung: Die Krim ist Russlands Militärdrehscheibe – Schwarzmeerflotte, Radare, Flugabwehr, alles hängt am Strom.
Erst die Tanker im Asowschen Meer, jetzt die Kraftwerke: Die Ukraine schaltet die Krim systematisch von der Versorgung ab. Und was EU-Sanktionen bei den Siemens-Turbinen nie erreichten, erledigen jetzt ukrainische Drohnen.
