does that answer your question/make sense? @Restuta
i thought we were talking abt token address, i haven't considered metadata maybe there's something to be had there
With that being said, the topic you want to address/solve @Restuta is important.
I’ll sit on it and try to add some ideas instead of just being negative lol
Im also out and abt rn, sent this from my phone 5 min after seeing this.
Lmk if that makes sense, or if I’m hallucinating, or missing something
2) cont’d
Assume cost Č of some unit of compute.
Cost of vanity address length Ń (V_ń) looks something like
cost(V_ń) = Č * 58^Ń
Prior to launch, team spends some amt X for some length prefix
If token successful, more economically viable to spend amt Z > X
Scammers win
My thoughts:
1) This is already a thing, rent a NVIDIA gpu, install solana cli tools and run the `grind` command (pictured).
Is your suggestion to have the compute-rental organized/executed on chain?
2) IMO this wouldn’t work, bc economic incentives are actually reversed…

i assume u don't write code?
make sense? @spacemandev

i think you missed my point. I am saying
USDC gud - CCTP gud
(on solana, eth, whatever circle supports)
wormholeUSDC bad
if i make a token wrapper for USDC and partner with marginfi to hold their collateral, CCTP wont cover my contract's liabilities
Replying to @edgarpavlovsky
i think the question implies some form of wormhole-wrapped USDC, which holds more risk than Circle's native SPL (or ERC20) USDC
