🎮 @gamescom 2026 what a week!
#throwback 🧬
We had the opportunity to visit Gamescom in Köln 🇩🇪 and disuss what we’ve been building with industry experts.
What made the experience especially rewarding wasn’t just being there, but hearing the feedback from people with years of experience in the gaming, 3D development, Unreal Engine and immersive experience about what we’ve achieved within a relatively short timeframe and with a very limited budget in comparison to colleagues and competitors.
The compliments regarding the foundation, quality, and potential of what we’ve built were honestly amazing to hear and incredibly satisfying.
Building something from the ground up always comes with challenges, compromises, and countless hours of work behind the scenes. So having experienced people from the industry recognize the quality of that foundation is a huge validation for the entire team.
We still have a long way to go, but Gamescom gave us an exciting reminder of how far we’ve already come. 🚀
Proud of what we’ve built.

We know it has been quiet...
Over the past period, the team has been working behind the scenes, taking a step back, learning, experimenting with new technologies, including AI, and rethinking how we build and operate xSPECTAR going forward 🧬
We have also been using this time to reorganise, restructure and put the foundations in place for the next phase.
We don’t want to make promises simply for the sake of making announcements. We would rather take the time to do things properly and come back with something meaningful.
This is a reset, a learning period, and the beginning of a new chapter.
We appreciate everyone who has stayed with us, supported us and continued to believe in the vision.

🌎 Enter a huge circular observation deck with panoramic views across the entire region
🚀 3 Jump Pads launch 3 players simultaneously up to 150m above ground
The idea:
Low polygon count. Simple structures & materials. Maximum functionality and actual experience value.
Built entirely through AI-assisted development without using the xSPECTAR EDK.
Now I'm really curious whether something like this could eventually be placed in @xSPECTAR as a custom build on my Hillside City plots @autentikum.

Not chasing hype.

We’ve spent countless hours exploring how AI can fundamentally change creation inside xSPECTAR.

• Waiting for key Unreal Engine updates that unlock new possibilities
• Lowering the barrier to building
• Discovering new tools for the Builders Academy
• Improving creator onboarding
• Better retention & gamification
• More fun, more social experiences
• Greater accessibility
• Better visibility & content discovery
• Easier distribution
• A browser-based low-fidelity experience
• Epic Games Store distribution
• A powerful content management system
• And much more happening behind the scenes.
None of these are isolated features.
They’re pieces of a much bigger puzzle.
Our goal isn’t to build another metaverse.
Our goal is to build a platform where anyone—from creators and educators to businesses and communities—can create, publish, discover, and grow with as little friction as possible.
Each component depends on the others.
That’s why progress isn’t always visible from the outside. A huge amount of time goes into research, architecture, experimentation, iteration, and integration before anything is ready to ship.
The exciting part?
These separate building blocks are beginning to come together.
Q4 is where you’ll start seeing the bigger picture.
One step at a time.
One system at a time.
One ecosystem.
I always imagined @xSPECTAR filled with businesses built by the community 🧬
Instead, I saw three things:
• People often didn’t know what to build.
• Traditional businesses found Web3 difficult to enter.
• Great ideas died because of limited budgets or technical skills.
So I stopped waiting.
Over the past few months I’ve been building businesses from scratch using AI alongside my own work solving real-world problems with real technology and real revenue models.
I’ll be bringing them into xSPECTAR one by one.
The goal isn’t just to create businesses.
It’s to show what’s possible, inspire others, and prove that a small team with AI can now build what once required an entire company.
If you want to build something exceptional, sometimes you have to build the first example yourself.

This is not a breakup tweet. I’m not standing alone in the rain. Figge and I are still grabbing breakfast next Friday in LA.
I fully believe in the Club, Otherside, ApeChain, and ApeCoin.
I fully believe in Figge.
I’m proud of what we built at ApeCo.
I’m more proud of the people that made ApeCo hum. They deserve all the flowers.
What’s next for me?
I’ll still be here and will probably pick up whenever Figge calls. A guy needs to keep his merch hook up ya know.
Today we're making changes to ApeCoin.
Yuga Labs and ApeCo (fka Ape Foundation) coordinate, but operate in parallel. To keep the orgs and leaders in sync, a coordination tax is paid in additional handoffs and added decision-making checkpoints.
This made sense when the lack of regulatory clarity forced crypto to contort into strange formations just to ship.
That era is over, and we need to reset from first principles.
Simpler, with less coordination tax.
Cam helped build and lead ApeCo, and he’s fully aligned with me on this reboot. With the reset, the separate ApeCo lead role no longer makes sense in the same way. Cam is stepping down from that role.
The core ApeChain tech and BD teams will now work directly with Yuga, so the chain and its partners will be well served. Some other members of ApeCo will be departing - they’re really great people and we’re thankful for their hard work. This transition will be complete by June 5th.
ApeCoin should not feel like a separate bet from all the other progress Yuga is making with its brands. Everywhere else we are building holders with real conviction and ApeCoin will be no different.
So I’m currently planning a roadshow in June with key and prospective partners, exchanges, investors, institutions and community members in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Taipei and Seoul. We’re going to show up in person and build the relationships that move BAYC, Otherside, and ApeCoin forward together.
This is a first step, but not the only step.
