One year of BAM and couldn't be happier for what we've accomplished. By far the most challenging project we've worked on at Jito; everything between Linux kernel patches, deeply understanding AMD SEV-SNP, systems performance tuning, and scheduler design.
From ~2% of stake to ~36%, three major scheduler refactors, almost all Solana propAMMs using maker priority plugin, and two clients. The data on spreads and markets for BAM leader slots is very interesting and hoping to share more on this soon. Even more excited for some of the plugins for Solana traders we're cooking on over the next three months.
Job is not finished.

IF YOU BUILD A V0, V1, V2 PROGRAM (WHICH YOU MAY DO WITH YOUR CURRENT TOOLCHAIN IF U HAVENT UPGRADED RECENTLY) AND TRY TO DEPLOY, YO SHIT GONNA GET REJECTED AT DEPLOY TIME
UPGRADE TO THE LATEST TOOLCHAIN AND MAKE SURE UR ENTIRE TEST SUITE USES V3
BEST TO FIGURE THIS OUT NOW AND NOT WHEN U NEED EMERGENCY UPGRADE
SBPFv3 is the new bytecode format, ready to integrate into your Solana programs now.
SBPFv3 resolves syscalls at compile time, enforces a strict ELF layout, and aligns Solana with upstream eBPF.
Solana no longer maintains a bespoke bytecode dialect.
Down the road, SIMD-0500 makes SBPFv3 the only deployable format. Its feature gate ships in the next Agave v4.4 release, so the best time to migrate is now.
The toolchain is ready and rebuilding is a few commands for most Rust programs.

Rent reduction is live on mainnet-beta.
Step 1 of SIMD-0437 activated at epoch 1028, the first of five feature gates on the road to cutting Solana's storage cost per byte by 90% overall.
Step 1 drops lamports per byte 6,960 → 6,333. Each remaining gate activates only after state growth checks out at the current level. We are stepping down to the final 696 safely, not on a fixed schedule. Follow here for an accurate timeline.
A safeguard gate (SIMD-0438) can restore the legacy value if state growth becomes a problem.

Fun fact: the tech was built with Jito TipRouter code 🤓
few understand how much of a beast TipRouter is
And now the underlying tech will power network-wide governance for solana:So11111111111111111111111111111111111111112

Incredible 💁♂️🦋. I am honestly speechless. Yes pls try @jtx_trade instead of @PhoenixTrade
can someone explain to me what exactly makes @PhoenixTrade so special?
i genuinely struggle to understand why a multi-billion dollar company would push an ~$8m OI perp dex this hard
even major Solana-native players like @JupiterExchange and @phantom are routing through Hyperliquid builder codes lmao
@toly I'm genuinely curious about your thesis here because, from theoutside, it currently just looks like an attempt to pump your bags (pic unrelated)
and honestly, if we REALLY had to trade perps on Solana, @jtx_trade by @jito looks like a much stronger product imo
