What's coming in now is not the main show but there are pockets of moderate to heavy rain that will contribute to our final rainfall total.
I'm concerned by the continuous signal I see in model data on the I-35 corridor filling in late evening to early Friday with slow moving, stationary storms producing high rainfall rates.
This is a single image from the GFS showing a classic I-35 flash flooding risk along the nearly stationary front coming in.
No severe risk.... just flooding hazard and lightning.

The anticipated cold front has slowed compared to previous forecasts. Below is the updated timing of arrival of heavy rainfall for south-central Texas for today. Stay tuned to trusted sources for changes in the forecast and issuance of any Flood or Flash Flood Warnings.

If you live in Texas I really hope you like rain because it sure is coming whether you like it or not! 🚨
For DFW prepare for multiple rounds of heavy rain anywhere from Wednesday-Saturday.
After that expect fall weather with highs in the 70's! 😎
