Men reacting to cases like the Cornell 7 by talking loudly about how they want to kill or brutalize rapists has always felt the same to me as fathers going “I would die for my family” and then not even doing the dishes. Like this performative fantasizing about glorious violence that they will most likely never be called to act on is such an easy ego boost for men who want to hold themselves separate from “bad men” without actually having to put in effort to improve the material conditions of the women in their lives, and ultimately it has nothing to do with whether rapists “deserve” to die/suffer for their actions because none of these men are actually going out and killing/brutalizing rapists. Because that would require them to do something about rapists, you know? And they won’t even do the dishes.

This is the perfect representation of “nice guys” who think they’re single because they’re ugly, when in reality, it’s because they’re just jerks.

The birth rate in South Korea is plummeting exponentially. This is a collective quote from the women there; “I will not give birth to a life that will discriminate against my gender, my own flesh and blood must not become a blade turned against me. If the world born from my body oppresses me, I will not let that world exist.”
This ignites my whole soul. Women have the ability to collectively decide to end civilization unless things change. That my friends, is what real power looks like....

This is male flight, male culture redefining what is valuable so as to always retain superiority. If women excel in something, that thing becomes worthless. This is how men ensure that women and femininity always retains an inferior cultural position.

I can’t look past the gendered nature of this post. This is patriarchy evolving with the times: as women begin to surpass men academically, men begin to devalue academic success.

men saying, “all you had to do was ask & i would’ve done it” is basically admitting you were waiting to be led. 😩 baby, that’s not leadership that’s following instructions. 😭😭
