Been working on my own Lightroom replacement, as many have taken to agents for recreating programs in an open-source fashion. Even though there are many other options available, I wanted to create one on my own. This has been an incredibly fun project so far, and I've tinkered with this for a bit now. The results have been promising, and I'm able to create high quality images through this application, similar to how I would in Lightroom. Being able to do stuff like this is valuable because it can completely eliminate the need for certain subscriptions that may not be worth justifying anymore. What a time.

What would the Bitcoin blockchain look like as a planet? I've been building the answer: Aurelith, a gas giant where every block is a piece of the atmosphere. Around 970,000 of them so far, and it grows every ten minutes.

Multi-vendor multisig is the only self-custody setup that completely spreads the risk.

If you're going to buy a HWW, do so directly from the manufacturer. Never buy from a reseller, even if they are "authorized". This should be common sense.
Ledger is investigating reports of loss of funds from users in South East Asia who purchased products from a reseller named CryptoBillis. As a precaution, and pending the results of our investigation, we have asked CryptoBilis to pause all sales and shipments of Ledger devices. We recommend Ledger users who purchased from this reseller in the last 90 days to not initiate set up if you have not done so yet. If you have set up your Ledger device, consider moving assets to a new Ledger signer (with new seed). We will continue to inform customers of updates as the investigation progresses. Reach out to Ledger customer support through official channels with any questions: support.ledger.com/

Introducing Aurelith. 🪐 A gas giant built from every Bitcoin block ever mined. Block size shapes the clouds, fees set the color, and every new block adds to the planet. A world of digital gold.

Looks like Uptober has been delayed, but that’s alright. You know what to do.

"almost every year since 2008"
BREAKING: Michael Burry says the stock market is stuck in denial and a crash is coming. He has called for a crash almost every year since 2008, but the stock market just keeps going higher.

Gave Opus 5.5 a design doc and it created this🏔️ scene. Procedural terrain, real erosion sims, scanned forests, golden-hour light, all scripted in Blender and rendered on a very tired and old GTX 1070. Still a few visual issues but very impressed nonetheless.

Gave Sonnet 5.5 a similar task, asking for "a highly cinematic scene" to show off what it was capable of. It proceeded to code a procedural desert, ringed planet, glyph portal, custom shaders, synthesized score, this time not including any assets or involving the GPU. Given the model, I’m definitely impressed.

Claude just shipped back to back 5.5 models and they’re pulling insane results. OpenAI just cut the $200 Pro plan’s compute in half and scrapped the release of Astra 6.1. The race is getting brutal.

BREAKING: Nano Banc just became the 6th US bank to fail in 2026. It shut down after over 25% of its loans went bad, mostly tied to commercial real estate. Is another banking crisis coming?
