In a country where defamation laws were tilted more towards the public's right to know than the powerful's right to remain powerful, or with a slightly less servile tradition of journalism, this would be the biggest story in Irish politics bar none.

This snippet came into my head earlier. Andy Moran talking a few weeks ago on The Monday Club about the importance of All-Stars for a group as much as the individuals and how he asked players “why aren’t you in your dickie bow in October?”
I wouldn't hold my breath comrades.
President Connolly has it within her power to tactically resign the presidency at an opportune moment to kill the bill. If she resigns, it was the Left who saved the day with a sacrifice that will define the political destiny of this nation for decades.

This is interesting. Key Putin 🇷🇺 aide Ushakov admits that the Anchorage plan of having Trump 🇺🇸 force Zelensky 🇺🇦 into agreeing to their demands hasn’t worked because of the role of Europe. That’s it: if Europe stays the course, 🇷🇺 can’t win.

This story in today’s @Independent_ie should make people angry.

The Next Leader of Fianna Fáil made a hames of the fuel protests and now he's making a hames of this solictors' fees dispute. I hate to say it, but if you sent Big Jim to Ballinasloe Horse Fair to buy a pony I'm not sure he'd come back alive. He's not at all good at dealing.
This is great from @ObserverUK, about the worst and best places to grow up in England. observer.co.uk/news/national…. I'm a dog for the geodata. I can't get enough of it. I've never lived in England so I'm coming from a place of deep ignorance, but one thing struck me. >>
>> The ideal of a city is that a city is a place to which elites are drawn in order to network and make things that improve people's lives and the economy. This data suggests the opposite; that a city is either a sump or dump. Either way, it's not good. >>
What's the lapel pin that Seán Canney is wearing on The Week in Politics? #twip
One, two, three, four,
Let them sweat outside the door
Five, six, seven, eight,
It's always best to let them wait.
Nine, ten - come on in!

20 year HR professional here. Many times I’d make candidates wait a few extra minutes to see how they handled it when they got frustrated. Weeded out a lot of hot heads. Me, I’m looking for patience and understanding.
Great to hear fresh new voices.
