I love living in Nashville. Truly. But there needs to be a grassroots movement to convince businesses here that “New Country” music is nothing but a collection of repetitive jingles written by committee (with occasional exceptions). There IS good modern country music. Sturgill Simpson and Tyler Childers are good examples. But you’re not likely to find them on most country station or streaming services. The industry controls the distribution and exhibition, and they have no interest in singular voices. I seem to be channeling George this morning.
