Thrilled to publicly share that cova.care is a part of YCS26.
Home care will be the front line of how our ageing America gets cared for. We’re now licensed and live as a provider in Michigan. – at San Francisco, CA

The best part of Y Combinator is the community - batchmates, friends, and now partners.
Today, Cova (YC S26) is leveraging Arctic’s AI-native credentialing workflow to expand its home health footprint across Michigan.
Grateful to build alongside another exceptional YC team.

Cova is a licensed home care agency that uses AI agents to pay caregivers the highest base rate in their state.
America is in a caregiving crisis. 11,000 Americans turn 65 every day, and 70% want to age at home. 53 million people are already unpaid family caregivers, and the path to receiving pay is held up by weeks of paperwork between families, physicians, and state offices. Most families give up before care ever starts, and caregivers wait unpaid.
When care finally begins, missed payments and poor coordination make it worse for everyone. All of this because existing agencies aren't built to deliver care at scale.
Cova is different. By running intake, benefits coordination, and billing on AI agents, they deliver care without a large back office and pass those savings straight to caregivers as higher pay and to families as better care.
Cova is designed so that quality care for families and fair pay for caregivers come from the same system. They're live in Michigan today and actively expanding to serve millions tomorrow.
benchmarking cell segmentation in spatial transcriptomics is so dogshit. we’re still relying on pixel-level accuracy metrics like IoU and NOT shifting the evaluation framework towards biological meaningfulness. for starters why don’t we use silhouette scores on UMAPs?
