Israel has now killed more people during the Gaza “ceasefire” it agreed to in October 2025 than the total number of military and civilian casualties on October 7, 2023.
Over 300 of those killed during the “ceasefire” were children, eight times the number killed on Oct 7.

"there is not a single functioning MRI machine left in the entire Gaza Strip. All seven machines that once existed were destroyed by the Israeli occupation."
And of course, despite 10 months of the 'ceasefire', no such medical equipment has been allowed in.
There are many realities in Gaza that rarely make it into daily coverage. One of them: there is not a single functioning MRI machine left in the entire Gaza Strip. All seven machines that once existed were destroyed by the Israeli occupation.
Doctors are now forced to diagnose and treat many patients without MRI scans, making already difficult medical decisions even harder.

Gaza has the highest concentration of child amputees in the world (at the peak of Israeli bombing, 10 kids were losing limbs daily), UNRWA says. And now Israel is now blocking prosthetic limbs from entering Gaza. All this has happened with US support or complicity.
🚨Aid coalition chief: Israel blocks wheelchairs, prosthetics, watermelons, and fresh produce from entering Gaza
Athena Rayburn, executive director of the Association of International Development Agencies, which represents more than 100 humanitarian and development NGOs operating in the occupied Palestinian territory, detailed Israel’s sweeping restrictions on aid during a UN Security Council briefing Wednesday.
🔹Israel rejects scissors, crutches, wheelchairs and prosthetic limbs as “dual-use,” bars medical specialists and restricts engine oil so severely that its price has risen to 45 times normal levels, bringing aid operations to “an absolute breaking point,” Rayburn said.
🔹Israeli authorities have also rejected watermelon and onions under an unpublished “humanitarian policy,” deregistered more than 30 international aid groups and repeatedly moved the supposedly fixed Yellow Line, cutting access to at least 85 water points, schools and health clinics.
“Humanitarian assistance, by its nature, cannot be conditioned,” Rayburn said, noting Israel was shrinking “almost daily” the physical space in Gaza where aid groups can operate.

Essential Read on the Future of Gaza
As Envisioned by the "Board of Peace" & its key architects: Jared Kushner & Tony Blair
Kudos to @mrmhawish for this excellent analysis and reporting
"Gaza, as planned, will be a peripheral appendage to Greater Israel, a captive population toiling for low wages and a meager existence, following a pattern that has long been established in the West Bank. I asked Sara Roy, an associate at Harvard Center for Middle Eastern Studies, what the U.S. and Israel hoped to accomplish with their development plan. 'It’s about eliminating a Palestinian presence in Gaza,' she said, 'eliminating Gaza as the center of resistance, and about ending the whole Palestinian political project to which Gaza is the key'."

Never forget that when a few members of congress had the dignity and moral standing to call for an immediate ceasefire knowing full well what Israel would do in Gaza, on Oct 10th the Biden White House said of those calls "we believe they are wrong, we believe they're repugnant, and we believe they're disgraceful."
Imagine how many lives could have been spared, how much war prevented, how many New Yorker whitewash pieces not written.

5. The article portrays the Biden administration as "perversely passive" in the face of the mass slaughter of Palestinians. The truth is they were actively complicit and defended it every step of the way.
