I was laid off about a month ago and have been working on finding a new position.
I've applied for a few positions through USAJobs, and the posting for one just closed.....and it shows that there were 6,800 applicants.
And I thought the numbers on LinkedIn were intimidating 😳
Oh hey look, my postdoc work is out!

Do any of my Madison friends want to go with me to see them in Chicago? Husband most likely can't go and I don't wanna go alone! I already have that second ticket bought 🤗

If I can't get something to work, the answer is more conda environments.

I would love to bring more attention to Swirly, such a sweet old boy who needs a loving home. He's the biggest cuddle bug but does have some health issues. Located in the Madison WI area. @feederofcats @JortsTheCat

If anyone in the Madison area is looking for a suuuuper cuddly lap cat, Swirly has been the most amazing buddy during my volunteer shifts.
He gets right on your lap and loves scritches and rubbing his head all over your arms ❤️

Super exited to announce that I have accepted an industry position!
In just a few weeks, I will be starting as a Computational Biologist in microbial genomics for BiomEdit, a startup out of Fischers, IN!

I tried installing a smart light switch today.
There are three neutral wires pulled into the box the original switch was in.
When I use the neutral that was originally hooked up, I can get power to the switch, but not to my light fixture.
With neutral #2, I get no power to
the switch or the light fixture.
With neutral #3, I get a short.
This feels like the home improvement version of working with Novo.
