DHS announced the designation of Cameroon for TPS for 18 months. This marks the first time the Secretary of DHS will permit qualifying nationals of Cameroon to remain temporarily in the United States pursuant to a TPS designation of that country.

The Feb 5 African Union Heads of State session will no doubt feature stirring speeches and sumptuous buffets - with per plate costs higher than most Africans' yearly incomes. I bet left unmentioned will be Southern Cameroon's crisis and Somaliland recognition. If not now, when?

Beyond sharing a common language, anglophones share a political culture, legal system, educational system and came into the union with autonomy. That’s what people are fighting for, not English! Most in the villages don’t even speak a word of English.
