Still thinking about this incredible tweet
We discovered a sophisticated recording device that was hidden inside one of our offices. We used our models to understand the device and where it had come from, identifying that a specific employee had planted it a few days earlier. We referred the matter to the FBI, and we’re grateful to the agents and prosecutors who moved quickly to make an arrest. The FBI’s investigation is ongoing and we will continue to support their work.
At this time, we have no indications of this individual inappropriately accessing or exfiltrating model weights, source code, or customer data. The employee was terminated.
We take protecting our technology, data, and people seriously, and as a matter of national importance. Our security program is designed to protect against a wide range of threat actors, from insider risks to cybercriminals to nation states, and this case is an example of how AI can help address these sophisticated security threats.

Do not let them trick you:
Validator does not mean partner or user of the platform.
It means someone they effectively are paying to use their name.
If ARC is a top 3 by usage chain in 3 years l’ll be utterly shocked.

Circle Launches Arc Mainnet with BlackRock and Visa as Validators, Mints 10 Billion ARC Tokens

More than 100 applications and 100+ institutions and ecosystem builders are live at launch. Founding validators include BlackRock, DTCC, Galaxy, ICE, Mastercard, SBI Group, Standard Chartered and Visa.
Arc uses USDC for gas and offers sub-second finality. Circle also completed the genesis mint of 10 billion ARC tokens but said this does not commit it to a public token launch.

Jane street quant interviewing at Anthropic:
“So imagine our safety team believes a new model has a 5% chance of causing an irreversible loss of human control, but scaling it may be necessary to keep up with competitors. What do you do?”
“Who came up with five?”
“Our safety team.”
“And what does the capabilities team have?”
“What?”
“Same contract. Where are they?”
“This is more of a values question.”
“Then you don’t have a five. I would put the two teams in a room. Safety can buy at five. Capabilities can sell. Increase size until somebody becomes uncomfortable. Now we know something.”
He looks at me.
“This isn’t some market-making role.”
“Understood. Who makes the market currently?”
“Nobody makes a market.”
“Then how are you doing price discovery?”
“We don’t do price discovery. We have researchers studying alignment, interpretability, dangerous capabilities, scalable oversight— you know what I don’t think this is a good fit”
He closes his laptop.
“I’m concerned you see this as an opportunity to make money.”
“I haven’t quoted you yet.”

Very cool: Robinhood is underwriting the Oura IPO.
Robinhood’s IPO Access business previously just got shares from the banks underwriting an IPO and distributed them to retail.
Now, Robinhood is actually part of the underwriting syndicate alongside (though far smaller than) Goldman, Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan, BofA, etc.
Robinhood is helping sell the deal, taking underwriting risk (meaning they make a firm commitment to buy shares in the IPO), and will earn underwriting fees.
It’s cool because it very much aligns with their goal of democratizing investing… and they have something the bulge bracket banks can’t offer: direct distribution to 10s of millions of retail investors.
Historically you wouldn’t really want retail in the IPO, but RH makes it easier by saying “we’ll take a $100M block” and you don’t have to deal with 200k tiny investors.
Also notable: they were already investors in Oura via RVI, their closed end fund.
They are now investing in seed companies too via RVI 2, they could theoretically be a lifecycle capital partner to companies.

Zora is web2/appbrained thinking for an ai/crypto future
Been through Foundation, Superrare, Zora and just sorry to say the art happening on systems like Scatter, Pump and from entities like Remilia, Oekaki, MS2 is just well beyond corpo shit like this
the beauty of crypto/nft is work can be created without the VC and value extraction phase yet the people still building like they’re shipping an ios app would never understand

If the name beta is meaningless, why do you invoke it every time Solana goes down?
How much SOL does the SOL foundation have? This has never been released and was purposely hidden. Show me the list of all of the SOL foundation original wallets and their transactions. You can’t, you won’t, and this is purposefully obfuscated. No institution will ever take SOL seriously as an investment when they have no idea how much SOL is dumping on them.
Agave and Jito-Agave are just forks of the original Solana code. These are not new clients built from the ground up but slightly optimized.
What % of validators are running these alternative clients? Ask the discord for us.

remember: if you don't conform to the Prescribed Pump Dot Fun Trench Standards, you're doing it wrong
that's what internet capital markets are all about
Replying to @a1lon9

I def will not continue to try new things because it's definitely not important to expand the pie.

The UK is a fucking joke
I recently got declined a business savings account, simply because I operate in crypto. Despite telling them I'd fund it with £500k (and lock it up for 180 days for a good interest rate). This was declined before I even had a chance to provide documents/information, simply because of the word 'crypto'
How does that make sense? They rejected a sizeable, locked deposit literally because crypto is involved
Kraken giving me ball ache rn too. It's one of the only off ramps available to UK ppl. Now they're seemingly cracking down too. Had to provide my tax returns last week, no problem at all, all good.... but today they freeze a deposit asking for *even more* information?
All of this happening while the President of United fucking States launches a memecoin of his own
I'm a good citizen. I pay my taxes. I have elite accountants that make sure all I's are dotted and T's are crossed
Fuck the UK man. What the fuck is going on?
