Announcing a feature tells users it exists. It doesn't teach them to use it. That gap — between "saw the announcement" and "changed their workflow" — is where we've been building lately.

Something new is coming to AnnounceKit that walks your users through features step by step, right inside your product. Built to work with your changelog, not as another separate tool to maintain. Soon. Watch this space (or our changelog — obviously).

The plan: 3 posts a week, drafted from what we actually know (release communication, changelog data across thousands of teams), reviewed by a human, measured in our own dashboard.

We'll share the traffic and signup numbers as they come — including if it doesn't work. Follow along if you want the honest version of "we grew on LinkedIn."

Changelog versioning sounds like pedantry until you need it. A predictable structure — dated entries, consistent categories (New / Improved / Fixed), stable URLs per release — pays off three ways:
1
12
1. Support links to specific releases instead of explaining repeatedly 2. Enterprise customers audit what changed before they upgrade or renew 3. Search engines and AI assistants can actually cite you

Sloppy changelogs read fine to the team that wrote them. The other three audiences quietly give up.
2
Where do product people compare notes on release communication? Mostly nowhere — it's scattered across PM Slacks and Twitter threads.

We run r/AnnounceKit as a small corner for exactly this: changelog examples worth stealing, announcement copy critiques, feature adoption tactics. If you write release notes as part of your job, come lurk. Bring your worst "we shipped it and nobody noticed" story.

I’m sorry, but is it just us or is this version making things more complicated? Feels like my Windows XP stuck on the startup loop. 😂 #ChatGPT5
