I just have to repost this. It might be my favorite thing ever. I think the little guy in the corner looks like the inside of our souls.
During what should be a quick nail trim, one groundhog seems to have already accepted its fate... while the other panics with every snip

from the Ukrainian winner of the Nobel peace prize
I have read dozens of outraged posts because the US special envoy Witkoff called Putin a "humanist." But no one is writing about the fact that the American negotiators are simply not doing their job. Let me explain. Peace negotiations are important in their own right. Even if they do not lead to a lasting peace, the process itself is an opportunity to resolve urgent humanitarian issues. If, of course, the human dimension is a priority for the negotiators. But it is entirely obvious that neither Witkoff nor Kushner cares about people's fates in this war. The Pope calls on Putin to save thousands of people from starvation in occupied Oleshky and the surrounding villages. The UN speaks about a humanitarian catastrophe and asks Russia to allow the evacuation of the civilian population. European Parliament Vice-President Pina Picierno goes on a hunger strike to draw attention to this tragedy unfolding before the eyes of the whole world. And what are Witkoff and Kushner doing? That's right, almost nothing. Except for passing along greetings from Putin’s aide to the First Lady. Thousands of people are already eating grass to survive and begging to save their lives. The Ukrainian side raises the issue of Oleshky at every meeting. And I can name dozens of such urgent humanitarian issues off the top of my head where American negotiators must be proactive. Trump’s peace negotiations have already gone down in history as the deadliest years for Ukraine’s civilian population since the start of the full-scale invasion. I don’t know if anyone will remember the names of Witkoff and Kushner. But history will certainly record how American negotiators, who had the opportunity to save a huge number of people, refused to raise uncomfortable questions before "humanist Putin."

The queen's reign continues.
My take: Putin gave up nothing by releasing a 74-year-old American held as a pawn for this type of moment. Putin is not a humanitarian, despite how Mr Witkoff addressed him. And whereas President Trump says he gave up nothing for Stephen Hubbard's release, you will hear all the experts correctly say that he did: busting his own sanctions for a diesel deal with Putin that could put $4 billion into his war chest; inviting Putin to the G20; and dumping Putin's victim, Ukraine, face down in the mud, as it tries to defend its sovereignty and its freedom. You’ve heard the historians call all this appeasement, going against America's own democratic values. nytimes.com/2026/10/21/us/po…

Trump’s envoy Steve Witkoff called Vladimir Putin a “humanitarian.” “You talk so much about President Trump being a humanitarian. You are a humanitarian also, sir, and I salute that. I commend you,” told Putin during their meeting.

Gonna come down to turnout — and the only poll that matters is Election Day.
A bunch of polls this morning, feels like we’re at the point where it’s either a huge polling error or a bigger Dem wave than 2006.

Has no one told him that the entire test is available on online and everyone can see exactly how easy it is?
Trump: "The first question is easy. You have a lion, a snake, a bear, and a giraffe. And they say, 'which is the giraffe?' So that's always the question they show ... when they get into those last questions -- see the fake news? There's not a person there that could answer."

Betsy, @Delavegalaw, I don’t mean to one-up you, but just now, I correctly identified 3 creatures on my couch—a husband, a dog, and a cat, the latter of which was hard because she is sleeping and closely resembles a meatloaf. 100%.
I don't want to brag, but this morning I walked outside and saw a squirrel, a cat and a bird. I was able to identify them all. 100% correct. I'll tell you about it again tomorrow.

WSJ Editorial Board: “Congress is preoccupied with the Nov. 3 election, but Mr. Trump may not appreciate the anger he’s courting if he keeps aiding Mr. Putin. When the election is over there needs to be a bipartisan reckoning for Mr. Trump’s budding alliance with the Kremlin against Ukraine, Europe and American interests.” Amen.
