The Wizards participated in only defensive work in their first day of training camp, head coach Brian Keefe said.
The Wizards say they want to be a defense-first team. They’ll have to prove they can make that happen.

Don’t let people try and tell you the Wizards have abandoned developing their young players.
The Wizards know the young players are their path to sustainable success.

We discussed the Wizards’ offensive hierarchy on today’s @lockedonwizards with Henry Brown @AllWizardsTalk.
- Who takes the last shot in the clutch?
- Will AJ rise into one of the alpha scorers fast?
- Who likely sacrifices their touches?

Anthony Davis is the Wizards’ top X-Factor in 2026. When AD plays, the Wizards will be different in so many ways.

So grateful to @SecKennedy for HHS implementation of IACC's April recommendations regarding wandering and elopement. This issue has plagued the autism community for years and this administration recognized the urgency and took action.
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on Friday announced the development of the first-ever National Autism Missing Person Alert initiative to improve how emergency responders locate autistic children and adults who go missing.

"The Interagency Autism Coordinating Committee, or IACC, voted Thursday to adopt a new strategic plan, the first comprehensive update in more than three years" disabilityscoop.com/2026/08/… Now the work can start. And kudos to the IACC for pushing this through.

Reece Beekman would be my choice for the Wizards’ final roster spot. I think he could be impactful in limited minutes as a backup ball handler and defender.
What do you think? ⬇️

Went to The Parthenon today. It’s a great reminder that outstanding things weren’t built overnight. Good reminder for all of our D.C teams! Bright future ahead all around!
