My website kept going down, and every monitoring tool wanted an account, a dashboard and a subscription to tell me one thing. So I built a Mac menu bar app that answers it at a glance. Meet MonoBar. 🧵

MonoBar is free: one website, monitored completely. Not a trial, not a crippled demo. MonoBar Pro adds up to 25 sites, 10 more status services like GitHub and Cloudflare, and native notifications. €14 once, up to 3 Macs. No subscription. I hate those too.

Signed, notarized, no account, set up in less time than a coffee. Apple Silicon, macOS 14+. Now on the Mac App Store, or download it directly: apps.apple.com/app/id6796800… monobar.app Why I built it: annbjer.studio/articles/quie…

just finished Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. Feels like so much more than just a game – it's the closest i've ever had to a spiritual experience in this art form.

Finally free to touch grass again 🌱 I was becoming a human chair, glued to screens watching Pi agents scroll by. At brain overload point, I asked the AI to build me something simple – just ping when the agent finishes. No prompts, no outputs. Just "done".

Free and open source, written in Swift to keep things native across macOS/iOS/watchOS. Still working out simpler setup flow but honestly just ask your Pi agent to install it for you 😄 Using it daily and it’s definitely a personal workflow improvement — wish I'd built it sooner but happy it’s live now.

PiPing is independent and unofficial. Huge thanks to @pidotdev for making it easy to build extensions. Just a tool I made because I was tired of babysitting AIs 🌿 Let's go touch some actual grass already!

My terminal runs three different AI coding agents but couldn't show me what any of them were doing to my project. So I built the missing pane. sidelight: a local-first, read-only project view that lives in a terminal split beside your agent.

Built in one weekend + two days by an odd little team: me (the only human) making the calls, Fable as architect, Codex writing the code, Opus & GPT-5.5 auditing – five audits, real bugs caught before launch. The full story: xitter.cf/annbjer/status/2075008…

proud to see @joshpxyne and @coframe keep pushing what’s possible with self-improving interfaces
We drove 410% conversion lift on @Replit's enterprise funnel, 2x-ing the number of demo requests. All in a matter of months. "Coframe makes you feel like you have a team of 100 people. There's nothing on the market like it." ⧉ x ⠕

got tired of manually filling wallet avatar placeholders in Figma tables, so i made a small blockies generator. now live as a @figma plugin: select frames → choose Catppuccin Mocha or B&W → generate editable vector blockies. figma.com/community/plugin/1…

source is open on GitHub too, including a CLI for generating PNG/SVG blockies from the terminal. github.com/annbjer/catppucci…
