It brings together several strands: Russia-linked social-media accounts pushing Brexit and divisive content; research into coordinated bot networks; heavily pro-Brexit coverage from Russian state media RT and Sputnik; and the wider pattern of Russian interference seen in the US and other democracies. And then the crucial point: the 2020 Russia Report found that Britain never carried out the kind of retrospective investigation undertaken in the United States.
