Watching #Raakh on @PrimeVideo is so painful. Especially knowing that it is based on a true story. Being a father to a girl, it scares me. And, things have just gone worse since that unfortunate incident.

We scheduled @Uber for 5:20 am to reach Blr Marathon. At 5:00 - a driver was allocated. At 5:15 - no cab allocation. App searched, we tried spot book but nothing. 5:45 - had to driver scooter for 1.5 hr and run a long distance race. Online cabs are simply unreliable @Uber_Support

The most expensive part of a hospital bill may never touch the hospital at all. A patient admitted for care has no way of knowing whether the price on a medical consumable reflects its actual cost or a markup fixed long before it ever reached the ward. That gap in information is, at its core, a public health issue. A survey of hospital consumables in Maharashtra found an IV infusion set with a trade price of ₹11.05 carrying a printed MRP of ₹325 ; a markup of 2,841%. A syringe procured at ₹6.75 carried an MRP of ₹57.20. A catheter procured at ₹29.41 carried an MRP of ₹310. These are not elective purchases. Patients cannot compare prices, seek alternatives, or question a number printed on a box while receiving care and the MRP itself is often fixed upstream by manufacturers and distributors, disconnected from the trade price by a wide, unexplained margin. The result is a system where the party bearing the cost has the least information to evaluate it. The regulatory gap is structural: scheduled medicines are capped under the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013. Most medical devices and consumables are not leaving both the pricing and the information around it almost entirely unmonitored. A review of these findings and clear guidelines on the permissible gap between trade procurement price and declared MRP have been recommended to the Department of Pharmaceuticals and the NPPA ; a step toward closing not just a pricing gap, but the information gap patients are left to bear alone. #PublicHealth #GoodGovernance #Leadership #TukaramMundhe moneycontrol.com/news/busine…

Every morning it says, "arriving today". By evening it becomes, "arriving tomorrow". #amazongreatfreedomsale It's third day. Now I am worried if they will even deliver a genuine product - if they ever will deliver a product on first case. @amazonIN

I worked in Punjab as a journalist during the peak of militancy. Later in my career, I headed the Punjab Cell in the CBI, which had, in its past, investigated cases of fake encounters as well as the assassination of Sardar Beant Singh. Those experiences gave me a rare opportunity to see both sides of that tragic period. They taught me that any honest account of those years must acknowledge both sides of the story. And that is exactly my concern with Satluj: not what it shows, but what it leaves out. It tells only half the truth; the other half is left unsaid, deliberately, and with a purpose. The film decontextualizes Jaswant Singh Khalra and the human rights debate from the Pakistan-backed, brutal Khalistani insurgency. This omission is neither an innocent creative choice nor an inadvertent one. And, in my view, the intent behind such a selective portrayal should matter to every Indian.
Replying to @arunbothra
But the movie focuses on the “fake” Encounters and the illegal means used to achieve an end.. also, the CBI documents, Supreme Court judgments are all out in the open for anyone to see the truth. Then why hide it?

Dear PM @narendramodi ji, Can we have a meeting with all the CMs to completely Stop VIP Culture on the Roads? Why should tax payers wait in the heat while VIPs pass? There could be multiple emergencies for the travellers. The traffic police faces the brunt of the people, while the VIP passes. In 100% of the cases, police are just doing their job. But, it really affects everyone. Finally, on social media, police are blamed. But actually, the person to be blamed is the VIP. We need to find a solution for this. I propose that the VIPs use helicopters/choppers and justify their movement. No tax payer should wait during this movement. I request my audience to help amplify this. We need a solution for this !!! #FI

A Middle Class Person wants to Buy 2 Wheeler for his family. He works hard, saves money & test rides a TVS Jupiter. He feels it is good for his small family. He enquires the cost. Ex Showroom Price is ₹76000. He realizes that this price includes 18% GST (around ₹11000). 18% YES, THAT'S RIGHT. Base Price is around ₹65000. ₹13000 Road Tax + Registration. Both PAID TO Government. ₹6000 for a Motor Insurance (18% GST ~₹1000 to Govt). Yes that is 18% GST. Accessories ₹5000 (GST included) So, now he totally has to pay ₹1,00,000. He calculates that he eventually pays 70% to Dealer, 5% to Insurance company & 25% to Government. He has already paid 20%-30% tax to the Government in the First Place 😀😀 He feels a bit let down. But then he asks himself: - Why am I Paying 18% GST on a 2 Wheeler when I have paid 20%-30% Tax already on my income? - Why am I Paying 18% GST on Motor Insurance when this is supposed to Protect me in case of Accident? - I am not taking any Loan, but still I Pay almost ₹25000 to Government just to buy a Vehicle for my Family. I pay ₹70000 to the Vehicle Dealer & ₹5000 to the Insurer. They also have to make some money out of it. So I am actually paying Government so much for the Vehicle. He asks these questions, but realizes that he is Middle Class. He pays the Taxes, buys the Vehicle, Takes Photograph & Goes Home to Enjoy with Family. He goes back to Work the next day, so that he can afford many other things. Cycle Continues... This is the Story of Every Middle Class of India 😀❤️ @FinMinIndia - You need to answer the questions asked by this Middle Class Person. Don't you think? If you are a Hard Working Honest Middle Class Reader like Me, Share this Story until the Government takes notice & Becomes Accountable. #FI
