We have two of our invaluable long serving developers based in the Ukraine and recently have added two interns. One outside Kyiv, two are in Kyiv and one just outside Dnipro. This war is personal. Russia get out of the Ukraine. It's not yours. πΊπ¦πΊπ¦

Here we go! The results of our WordPress Security Survey are finally here πππ
The cost of a WordPress security incident rarely ends when the malware is removed.
Our 2026 WordPress Security Survey shows how the impact can spread beyond the technical cleanup:
π₯οΈ 68.4% reported website downtime
π 34.9% reported reputational damage
π 20.1% lost search rankings
π€ 20.1% lost client trust
π° 16.3% said their most serious incident resulted in lost revenue
And these numbers can lead to very real impacts.
In one of the Security Stories featured in the report, a website owner described traffic effectively dropping to zero after a hack. Even after the site recovered, traffic eventually returned to only around 65% of its previous level.
So, recovery can also mean rebuilding search visibility, customer trust, reputation, and revenue.
Explore all the findings from this yearβs survey:
