The end of municipal democracy in Ontario.
Ford appoints his cronie as Chair of Muskoka Region.
Ford has stripped the people of Muskoka, Peel, York, Halton, Niagara, Durham, Waterloo, and Simcoe County of the right to elect a Regional Council Chair in next week's election.
Instead, he will appoint the Chairs—who will be able to force through decisions even if 2/3rds of elected Councillors vote against them.

NEW: The Ford government is expected to name Conservative MP Scott Aitchison as Muskoka’s first “strong chair,” @readpolicorner has learned.
Aitchison announced late last month that he would leave federal politics to “explore new opportunities.”

14 Registered Nurses laid off from one Ontario ICU.
Ontario is already facing significant nursing workforce pressures, yet RN cuts continue. At the same time, nurses are caring for 7–8 acute patients and hallway nursing is becoming normalized. This should concern all of us, not just nurses. Patients deserve safe care. Nurses deserve safe working conditions. We need to stop normalizing this and start taking action.

NEW : Trump UNLOADS on Canada at a Kentucky rally
called out Trudeau by name, and made it clear he’s done subsidizing our system.
Key quotes:
“Canada’s taken advantage of us for 50 years… we lose $90 billion a year and I don’t like losing money on anything.”
“We had Trudeau who’s a not a good guy. Loser.”
“Your current guy is a nice guy, but he’s not nice when it comes to trade… they’re learning and they’re suffering.”
“I do not want to lose $90 billion for the privilege of allowing Canada to have a health care system… They spend our money very unwisely.”
He also noted Canada does 95% of its business with the U.S. while we do very little with them by comparison.
He's right about a lot, especially that Trudeau is a loser.
That guy ruined this country as the world's largest virtue signal.

Trump tore it up and went to war—only to lose the lives of 13 brave Americans, raise prices at the pump, and sign a failure of a “deal” that costs taxpayers billions.

Doug Ford said taxpayers wouldn’t be on the hook, but documents show nearly $200K in costs tied to the plane’s purchase & quick resale.

It appears Premier Doug Ford's office didn't include the costs of HST into the initial public disclosure -- meaning the jet actually cost north of $30 million CAD.
Ontario taxpayers were ultimately out nealy $200k in additional costs.
