Congrats to the team! Amazing to run a model of Muse Spark Open's caliber and scale this efficiently, right from your desk. Mac Studio keeps pushing the boundaries of on-device AI!

Watching @Muse help me book hotels is the most funny experience. It is as slow as a toddler. Future UI design needs to be more agent friendly to be more efficiently consumed by personal agents.

At Oxford, the edu version for GPT explicitly states that our usage won’t be used to train models. If the companies are simply monitoring what scientists are doing and scoop their work. It is wrong and has to stop.
OpenAI (& Anthropic) really need to release very clear legally binding statements ASAP that this kind of behavior is against their official policy. If not, it is going to be a legal disaster for science. Even more reason to favor open source models not controlled by companies.

A wearable a day keeps the doctors away. Meet Sensori: a foundation model that turns 24h wrist movement into a health representation linked to function and disease. Open source: arxiv.org/abs/2608.29494 github.com/OxWearables/Senso…

That’s precisely the point. Imagine if we loads of other models similar for different modalities but add them all together. Maybe it is the cocktail effect moment for health sensing.
papers like this are very interesting because a truly multimodal representation of patient health will include AS MANY MEASUREMENTS about the patient... in this case wrist movement (which you can get from a wearable) apparently adds signal for predicting clinical info!

Learning Human Health and Diseases from 24-hour Wrist Movement "Here, we present Sensori, a self-supervised foundation model that learns general-purpose health representations directly from 24 hours of raw tri-axial wrist movement." Dataset: 122,640 participants contributing 683,617 person-days of free-living recordings. Architecture: Sensori uses a multiscale architecture in which pooling operations progressively reduce the temporal resolution. Training: Sensori is pretrained using two complementary objectives designed to capture movement patterns at different temporal scales: masked reconstruction and day-level contrastive learning. Results: adding Sensori embeddings to the clinical covariate model significantly improved AUROC for 52 of 102 eligible conditions across the six disease categories, with the largest gains for neurological and psychiatric disorders. paper link: arxiv.org/abs/2608.29494

Receiving medical care in the UK is terrible and wonderful at the same time. I twisted my ankle while playing tennis yesterday. While I needed to go through many stages of triage before seeing a doctor, when it was my turn, things worked like a charm. Thank you NHS ❤️

In the age of AI, reading books and long books is akin to LLMs having long context window for reasoning. While we push the limits of LLMs we shouldn’t forget to upskill ourselves.
There may not be many people left in 10 years who can write, or want to read, things longer than a page or two. But there will be at least a few of us, and we'll be a powerful club.

Not sure how can we learn better in the age of AI. While we can get things done faster that also comes at a cost.
Every college syllabus should include these graphs. Use AI for homework, you will get it done faster and get a higher grade, and then get crushed on the exam.

GPT health and Apple health integration is going to bring continuous care to millions. It is probably the best push towards health enhancement. A big win for everyone. Key research might redirect to novel measurements and providing long-term evidence for health benefits.
Health in ChatGPT is starting to roll out to U.S. users. You can securely connect Apple Health and supported medical records to understand your information in context, track what has changed, and have more informed conversations. openai.com/index/health-in-c…

I am on the track to collect 50 project ideas for agent to solve. Idea no 4: AI agents are terrible at generating conceptual diagrams like the figure 1 in a scientific paper. Guess "one picture is worth one thousand words." Also hard for me to provide good prompt.

Is anyone aware of tools that make projects done with vibe coding production quality efficiently? Vibe coding makes codebase grow non-linearly (exponentially?) w.r.t. features and so is the cost. Don't think the frontier LLM labs have interests in keeping the costs down.

I don’t think gpt can easily understand decades long of Apple Watch data as no human truly understands. That’s what we are actively researching on. But giving false information on easy to detect pattern is another story.
The performance of the newly released ChatGPT Health, via a thorough assessment by @geoffreyfowler with his health data, is very disappointing gift link wapo.st/49GEASP

Increasingly, text from everyone looks posh and GPT-like. Am I the only one who starts to miss the messy and imperfect text that we used to receive as that's how we are as humans?
