Cannot overstate how anathema it is to everything we are supposed to stand for that the president is trying to denaturalize his political enemy.
It’s unamerican, it’s dictatorial, and it deserves to be rebuked as vehemently as possible.
BREAKING WSJ:
The Trump admin's investigation into Rep. Ilhan Omar is aimed at building a case to strip her of her U.S. citizenship and ultimately deport her, according to U.S. officials and other people familiar with the probe. wsj.com/politics/policy/ilha…

Many on the left suspected this was the case, but it’s still wild to see the WSJ confirm it.
Needless to say, stripping the citizenship of opposition elected officials is really, really far down the road to fascism.

Next DFL trifecta - imagine if we got some permitting/met council reform and a funding boost.
Would be REAL NICE if cut and cover tunnel ROW and elevated ROW was actually considered and plausible in urban areas instead of only in suburbs and parkland. 😔

Exceptional work by @s0phistry that finally factors population in an instantly understandable way. All media should adopt this format for political maps. I'm talking to you @MSNOWNews @CNN – at Lauderdale, MN

Asked the tsa agent earlier, “is it a laptop out of the bag day” and he said, “it’s always a laptop out of the bag day” and I replied, “that is simply not true” and then he rolled his eyes and walked away

Again, citizens are supposed to believe Trump has immunity from breaking the law and can unilaterally take funds to build monuments to himself that Congress didn’t intend for that purpose, but that Biden couldn’t even cancel some student loans? Banana republic stuff.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Supreme Court chief justice allows work on Trump’s $400M White House ballroom to continue for now.

Since 1965, there have been 6 fiscal years when federal spending fell relative to the preceding year:
🔵1965 - LBJ
🔵2010 - Obama
🔵2012 - Obama
🔵2013 - Obama
🔵2022 - Biden
🔵2023 - Biden
No Republican president in the last 60 years has cut spending vs. prior year.

Another lousy economy under a republican president. Why do people keep voting for this!
This is a bleak July jobs report:
-23,000 jobs lost in July. (Losses occurred in retail, finance, hospitality, local gov't education)
-264,000 people leave the labor force
-Wage growth falls to 3.2% = lowest in 5 years (and totally wiped out by inflation right now)
***Lowest labor force participation rate since February 2021***
The Fed's job just got a lot harder. The labor market is stalling again. Many industries shedding jobs or flat.

reminder that Biden specifically pushed to get infrastructure projects funded in red states as a gesture of goodwill
now Trump cancels projects in blue states out of spite
these people are evil, plain and simple

Hotels are almost always better than Airbnbs, but they cater poorly to a reasonably common use case of 'a group of friends (including their spouses/children) wants to stay together, share meals and hang out in common spaces.'

The same "Never Comply" crowd that won't change their thermostat, wear a mask, or use a paper straw turns into "comply or die" the second masked federal agents start gunning down people on American streets.
Don't let them gaslight you into thinking they stand for liberty.

To date, immigration officials have shot and killed 11 people, including two Minnesotans. Across the country, they operate with no respect for human life, the law, or consequences.
There's no reforming this agency. Rip it apart.

My heart aches for the family of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo. He should be alive today.
There is no reforming an agency that kills repeatedly with impunity. Enough.
brad tabke is up for reelection this fall and he needs support from DFLers after winning his seat last time by only 14 votes - and with the work he did during operation metro surge, would not be surprised to see republicans coming out for his opponent
