Hammersmith & Fulham residents will be hit by the largest council tax increase ever next year. Bills are set to increase by 150% or £1500 per year. Yet @HFLabour refuse to join nearby councils to oppose the government’s funding reforms causing this. 👇 thesun.co.uk/money/40735755/…

The Green Party say that they want to "abolish landlords". And yet *both* of their Deputy Leaders are, in fact, landlords. Clearly, they know there's nothing wrong with renting out a property. So why are they trying to impose this rubbish on the rest of us?

🚨Sneaked out by OFGEM this morning, a warning for the first time EVER they cannot guarantee that demand will be met on a peak day in winter. Let’s be clear what that means. They cannot guarantee that homes will be warm, lights come on or industry function on a peak day this winter. And why? Because of an accelerated decline in domestic gas supply from the North Sea. So what is the solution? For British bill payers to pay more, to IMPORT more from Europe (specifically Belgium) to keep the lights on in Britain. Britain. A country with vast supplies of gas, untapped, deliberately due to Labour policy now going cap in hand to Europe and paying vast sums to import foreign gas. It is utterly outrageous. You couldn’t make it up. ofgem.gov.uk/sites/default/f…

As so many of us warned, there is absolutely no incentive for people not to sign a rental contract/receive a rent rise then immediately challenge it. Meaning logjam in the courts and fewer people putting properties up for rent, damaging the rental market further.
We have nationwide rent controls now. This tribunal didn’t just stop a rent rise within a tenancy, it cut the rent to below what had been agreed between the landlord and the tenant at the start of the tenancy based on a judgement of what the property is worth.

Net Zero zealots like Ed Miliband are holding our country hostage. Every road, every railway, every reservoir gets blocked or delayed because of these ideologues. In the pursuit of Net Zero, they'll drive up our bills and kill off new jobs. We must fight them all the way.

Labour don't believe that money you earn, or the property that you own, is really yours. If you leave property empty for 6 months, they'll let councils steal it. If you put money aside for your pension, they'll decide how it's invested. And now they're after your business.

Building anything in our country is way too expensive and it takes too long. To open a 3.3 mile railway line to Bristol, it took 79,187 pages of planning documents. That's 14.6 miles of paperwork, stacked end to end. Kemi is spot on. We have to get Britain building again.
Cliveden House burnt down in 1849. The architect behind Parliament rebuilt it in two years. Now, Parliament has spent over a decade just planning its own repairs. What happened to the country that built things? 👇

More than 100 councils house more asylum seekers than homeless people. And 19 of those councils house *at least ten times as many*. Far too many councils are putting illegal migrants, who've broken into our country, ahead of our own citizens.

Tonight, Labour MPs voted AGAIN for the Family Farm Tax and Family Business Tax. Eight chances to do the right thing. Eight times they chose to hammer farmers and family businesses. Labour must listen. At the Budget, axe these vindictive taxes.

YouGov - Sky - Times voting intention LAB 24%(-3) CON 23%(+3) RefUK 21%(-1) LDEM 12%(+1) GRN 11%(nc) Oct 11-12 Pollster note: The changes are within the margin of error, so it's difficult to distinguish signal from noise, but I suspect there is some degree of "conference bounce" there, with the Tories getting a boost from their coverage, and Labour declining again as the temporary impact of their own conference fades. It may well be a temporary Tory boost, but for the record it means this is the first time that we have had Reform back in third place since 2024 (it’s technically the first time since early 2024 – but we didn’t poll between the election and January 2025 while we were reviewing methods, so we don’t know exactly when Reform overtook the Tories).

Pricing builders out of London is pricing young people out of London. People can’t have homes if there is no one to build them. Taylor Wimpey stopping construction in London will be disastrous for young people trying to get on the housing ladder. thetimes.com/business/compan…
The construction sector is collapsing. Labour committed to 1.5 million homes. 300,000 a year. London alone needs 88,000. Last figures showed London started just 4,500. Labour's jobs tax, red tape and regulation have caused this. Young people cannot get on the housing ladder. Working people are priced out of the communities they grew up in. The Conservatives will cut red tape, reduce employment taxes and scrap stamp duty. We will get Britain building again.
