On 2 September 1995, an RAF Nimrod MR2 (XV239) crashed into Lake Ontario, killing all 7 crew members. On 2 September 2006, an RAF Nimrod MR2 (XV230) crashed in Afghanistan after an in-flight fire, killing all 14 crew members Rest. We have the watch

2 Sep is a bad day for the UK MPA community as we remember our friends and colleagues who perished on this day in 1995 and 2006 when XV239 and XV230 crashed in Toronto and Afghanistan respectively. Till we meet again in the Scruffs’ Bar. 😢
