Chatbot! Is that still the right term? AI has changed everything. Chatbots have got a pretty bad rap. They are just not the same as they used to be. These days I would rather a chatbot answer my question rather than be half-on-hold with a real person on some support chat. It wasn’t always like that, only a year ago I would be begging to speak with a real advisor. Anyone else have a similar experience to this?

As we move towards a world of AI agents. One of the biggest challenges is that they are interacting with a world designed for humans. Searching and scraping the internet is actually an unreliable way to interact with businesses. I can see one world where either it becomes increasingly important to develop extensive APIs that can be available to these AI agents. I can see another world where the web becomes a meeting place of AI agents and each business and organization develops its own AI agent to interface with these more general purpose AI agents. What do you think the future web will look like?

What does an internet designed for AI agents look like? Will there even be an internet for humans?

We won’t need websites in less than 5 years because companies will be represented by website agents.

My financial advisor told me about a client who became very wealthy in tech. They owned several homes, married and had children, traveled all over the world, and bought expensive things. When asked what made them happiest, they replied, “Sitting in a quiet room writing code.”

What on earth is going on over at Qualcomm?? The new Samsung S21 with the 888 chip has basically not moved forward in two generations on the main Speedometer 2.0 JavaScript test. The new Pixel 5 scores like an iPhone from 2015. This is beyond embarrassing.

My Teams meetings always end SO awkwardly and it's not clear when to leave. So I made live end credits. (no post credits scene)

My business is one-year-old now. Here are 18 values for the kind of business we want to build: 1. Stay nimble: I want to keep the business small. I want to have a personal relationship with everybody I partner with. I have no plans for an IPO, so I'm here for the long-term.

1/6 Screenshots of my research notes organisation (in Omnioutliner). All notes go in this "Bibliography" file: they'll start off on an individual project, and when that's done, I copy and paste them here.

...our first school next year. Or some equally important project. We have committed to using 50% or our profits to fund educational projects. It’s not really a normal business model. But then we thought why not. Education is such an important human right. We want to help.
