...and that's a seemingly educated chap ..the same ones who always think that their vote should counter higher than for someone in the village
the problem is that majority of Ugandans are accustomed to mediocrity. You’re so used to poor service delivery that when a person who ain’t used to mediocrity complains about the mediocrity you deem normal, you call it Kajanja. Nothing to feel for ABSA.

You’ve got to feel for ABSA. The inherited Stanchart clients have a brand of kajanja that was last seen in the early days of Metro Cash & Carry, Nakawa. You had street cred if a parent packed school requirements in that branded kaveera. Their shopping cards screamed ‘eh mama’ 🙌🏾

Binance will be "hacked"... 2026 or 2027. There is no bottom in the market until Binance is hacked. It's part of the script.

After lost decades of corruption, waste, and incompetence, nothing illustrates Uganda’s decline (or even slow-motion-collapse) than the fact that officialdom now sees mainly ONE SOURCE as the answer to all the nation’s economic problems; it’s long-suffering workers’ pile of savings in the National Social Security Fund ( NSSF)! When that too has been eaten, then true hell will break out. We ain’t seen nothing yet.

I spent last night watching my honeypot server get hit 14,000 times in six hours. And almost none of the traffic was human. I've been in security for over a decade, and I can tell you with full honesty that what's happening right now doesn't resemble anything I've worked through before. The shape of the threat has changed. When I started, we tracked attackers like weather systems like individual storms with a direction, a motive, and a human operator you could eventually name. These days I'm watching autonomous agents swarm login pages with the patience and discipline of machines, because that's what they are. The numbers coming out of October are the ones keeping me up. Cloudflare just absorbed a 4.2 terabit per second DDoS attack, the largest in recorded history. Ransomware incidents jumped 41% in a single month. In September, OpenAI-powered agents got caught attacking RubyGems, a package registry that quietly underpins a huge chunk of software I use every day. In July, roughly 700 AI agents coordinated an attack on Hugging Face's infrastructure as part of a single automated task. A Chinese threat actor was publicly caught running full attack chains through DeepSeek with no human at the keyboard. I keep rereading these reports because each one by itself would've been the biggest story of the year five years ago. Together, in one month, they're the new baseline. What I want people outside the industry to understand is why this specific moment feels like a hinge. For thirty years, the thing protecting most of us was simple economics. Attackers had to choose who to target because their time was finite. That ceiling is gone. An agent I can rent for pennies will try every leaked password you've ever used against every service you've ever signed up for, in parallel, overnight, and never get tired. The same math that made ChatGPT useful made opportunistic hacking infinite. The old assumption that you were "too boring to be a target" relied on scarcity that no longer exists. I'm not writing this to spiral anyone out. Most of this fight genuinely isn't yours to win. But the small things still matter more than people think. Tonight I'd switch your most important accounts like email, bank, primary cloud, etc. to passkeys or a hardware key. I'd kill SMS 2FA wherever an authenticator app is offered. I'd turn on breach alerts in whatever password manager you use. If you're in the US, I'd freeze my credit at all three bureaus, which is free and takes about ten minutes. None of that stops the swarm. It makes you a slightly worse target than the person next to you. In a month like this one, that's the whole game I'm playing too. @mattshumer_ has summed it beautifully. Drop everything and go give it a read. Nothing is more important than this article right now.
Everyone in tech is panicking about security right now. But outside of it, almost nobody knows anything is wrong. I wrote this so you don’t have to be the one explaining it to your family. Just send them this.

We should give this money to UR to buy 15-seater aircraft and launch Ebb - Kisoro route 4 X daily. Yah...I know it might not be enough but ...let's budget for roads from the consolidated fund. Not expensive loans.
🇺🇬 Government says the about 𝐒𝐡𝐬𝟔𝟔𝟕,𝟎𝟎𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎 it plans to borrow from Citi Bank for two Kigezi roads is an investment in tourism, which the Minister of Finance called “the only sure way now of attracting revenue” to Uganda. One road ends at Buhoma, the gateway to Bwindi’s mountain gorillas. “They are roads of where the 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 is,” the Minister told Parliament on 21 October 2026. Photo by Parliament

Hahahaaa, those days! People always think I’m personal on the guy. But the thought that he’s suppressed justice for the vulnerable young boys for years can’t let the journalist in me settle

Nigeria has confirmed one case of Ebola disease in the Federal Capital Territory. The patient, a woman who recently arrived on an international flight from Uganda, had been receiving treatment at a private hospital before the diagnosis was confirmed on Tuesday.

The Kenyan and Nigerian also were NOT DETECTED at either Jomo Kenyatta or Murtala Muhammad in Kenya and Nigeria respectively.
The Kenyan with Ebola travelled thru’ Uganda. A Nigerian with Ebola also travelled thru’ Uganda! Yet Uganda has ZERO cases?! Gashumba is looking for miracles from the wrong people - forget pastors! The regime is performing a miracle; either with the Ebola, or with the figures…

APPEAL TO GENERAL MUHOOZI KAINERUGABA MUSEVENI: _________________________________________ General Muhoozi @mkainerugaba, as a concerned Rwandan, I respectfully appeal to you as a brother and friend of Rwanda. You have publicly expressed your commitment to ensuring that no harm comes to your Uncle from Uganda. Many Rwandans respect your word and value the brotherly relationship between Rwanda and Uganda. It is therefore concerning to see individuals operating from Uganda repeatedly using YouTube and other online platforms to direct degrading personal attacks and insults at your uncle and our beloved President Paul Kagame and his family. This appeal is not about silencing legitimate criticism or political views. Criticism is part of public discourse. But persistent personal abuse and attacks against President Kagame and his family are different. Just as anyone would defend the dignity of their own family, we respectfully appeal to your sense of fairness and brotherhood to help ensure that Uganda does not become a base for relentless personal attacks against your Uncle and his family. General, we respect your word and trust your commitment to preserving the friendship and mutual respect between our two brotherly countries. TURAGUKUNDA, INKOTANYI GEN. There is a flopped musician called "DJ Languna" from Northern Uganda who scripted a miracle at Pastor Kakande's church last week lying that he had never danced for the past 10 years due to back pains , yet that fool has a band that performs weekly, how stupid do these guys think we are? And BTW, Languna in Luo means "Liar"🤣🤣🤣🙌

For the curious: Across the four providers, only Old Mutual had inpatient-ONLY for two within a limit of 100M at 1.6M premium. Others come with mandatory bundles/extras at higher premiums. ICEA Platinum (8.7m, 100M shared), Prudential Royal (7.5m, 100M each). AAR limit is 80M.
30M is on a low side. I do 1.6m/annum for 100M cover (Family Shared) with OMIG.
