I think it’s underrated that recent cryptography breakthroughs mean we might be able to do internationally-verifiable fully-privacy-preserving inference attestation *with no new hardware or manufacturing*.
Replying to @Yogi_Brn
cryptographic evidence of what frontier AI compute is actually doing. If the world chooses to pace AI, @attestable and @prlnet are building the infrastructure to prove it. attestable.com/blog/pacing-a…

The world is debating whether frontier AI needs to slow down. If it comes to it, do we know how? A lab can say it stopped training. A country can sign a treaty. But, is the compute following the rules? @attestable is building that layer. New blog! 🧵

Remotely installable, remotely verifiable, this is the verification solution the world needs. We are working hard @attestable to make it as fast and easy to deploy as possible.
We Must Pace the Frontier: I’ve written a new essay on why the AI industry should slow down, with a three-part plan for doing so. Anthropic is unilaterally committing to the first of these steps. We’ll provide third-party evaluators with permanent, employee-level access to our systems, so that they can verify adherence to our safety measures, report on incidents, and assess models’ alignment during training. A trustless solution means you shouldn't have to trust even us at @attestable. Formally proving our stack in Lean is essential, and incredibly exciting. More info to come... btw this project was finished so far ahead of schedule, @PapiniShahar is an absolute beast!

Honored to be included in the TLV AI50. AI is becoming infrastructure for the world, but we still lack a reliable way to know that an AI system did what it was supposed to do. At Attestable, we’re building the integrity layer for AI: **formally correct, mathematically proven—not based on trust, heuristics, or trusted hardware.** Our technology verifies computation while keeping models and data private. It’s one of the most exciting engineering challenges I’ve worked on—and it matters for the future of safe AI. We’re looking for exceptional backend engineers and compiler engineers in Israel. You don’t need to be a mathematician—just excited to build something genuinely new. DM me.
Ahead of Rosh Hashanah, we're publishing the TLV AI 50: a list of the 50 most influential Israeli AI researchers and founders. Their ideas shape how modern models think, see, and reason, and their companies turn those ideas into the chips, companies, and products the world runs on. Full list: eu1.hubs.ly/H0y9XRZ0 30 researchers, 20 founders, 7 papers. This is not a ranking, but rather a representation of the most impactful Israelis in the AI research realm. Here’s a few trends that stood out: •  Israeli neolabs are finally emerging at the model layer •  AI security: a new cohort of AI natives is defining how systems get hardened and verified - Israel is firmly at the frontier •  Vision: some of the most cited labs anywhere, with startups now harnessing that talent for physical AI Also featured are 7 noteworthy papers from up-and-coming Israeli researchers, below the list.

Impressive work! For comparison, an H100 can do roughly 100-200 tok/s of Muse 30B for raw inference single-thread, going up to low thousands of tok/s with a large number of threads - and I am sure that for the massively-multi-threaded case they can optimize the prover further. So we roughly, sort of, have single-digit (<10x) overhead for LLM proving! Next step is getting single-digit overheads for FHE, and then ultimately vFHE (aka STARK * FHE). A crazy ambitious milestone given present FHE overheads, but because of how highly structured and almost-linear LLM inference is, it's closer to the realm of possibility than you might think. Single-digit-overhead all the things. firefly.social/post/x/208722…

We're very excited for @attestable to come out of stealth today. We @AltimeterCap co-led their seed round with @TLV_Partners, and believe they're building a crucial layer in the AI stack. It's clear two things are happening simultaneously - AI systems are making more consequential decision while their risk is going up (see Hugging Face incident). An existential questions becomes "how can you prove a model did what it was supposed to do?" Attestable is building this exact integrity and verification layer for AI, using zero-knowledge proofs to verify the right model ran on the right inputs and called the right tools. As agent workloads become longer running, verifying each step becomes even more important. The technical breakthroughs the Attestable has made to get here are incredible. Zero-knowledge proofs used to carry a 1,000,000x compute overhead, making them completely impractical for AI. The Attestable team has gotten this down many orders of magnitude, making ZK for AI something that can actually be deployed. We'll need this kind of integrity / security solution in a post-quantum world :) From securing model weights, to proving open models are backdoor-free, to giving agents verifiable identity - Attestable is building the integrity layer for an AI-powered world. As co-founder @Yogi_Brn puts it: every token should be a proven token. More below from my conversation with Yogi

As AI gets more powerful, “trust us” isn’t good enough. Attestable is a new security layer for AI, built on zero-knowledge (ZK) proofs. We’ve made it fast and accurate enough to be practical — enabling model weight security, agent identity, AI treaties, and much more. A huge achievement by an amazing team, and a crucial building block for a safe AI future.
The world has identified verifiable AI as a missing civilization-scale primitive. The core technical obstacle, practical zero-knowledge proofs, was considered impossible. We solved it. Today, we are launching @attestable, the AI Integrity Company, and announcing a $20M seed round led by @jaminball at @AltimeterCap and @YonatanMandelba at @TLV_Partners , with participation from @HalcyonFutures, Cerca Partners, @Weiner_Lia at Netz, @nickymontanaa at Zero Knowledge Ventures, @assaf_rappaport, Asaf Ezra, Nadir Izrael, Jon Coller, Eyal Manor, @OmerPerchik.

Excited to announce Flock! A new SNARK for efficiently proving batched Boolean computations, in collaboration with @benediktbuenz and @kleptographic . The key use case for Flock is proving standard hash function such as SHA-256, Keccak and BLAKE3. For example, on an m4 max MacBook Pro it proves over 660k BLAKE3 compressions per second. xitter.cf/SuccinctLabs/status/20…
Introducing Flock: a new SNARK for proving batches of standard hash functions at just 250× the cost of computing them natively. Developed by @benediktbuenz from @EspressoSys, @ronrothblum, and NYU's William Wang, Flock puts Ethereum's Post Quantum target in reach.
