Do you know what worked? A clear vision. Design-led development. Weekly demos to deciders who always made the call on what to do next. Clear communication between cross functional teams. Honest feedback. Managing risk as a function of the rate of actual progress toward goals.

Holy wow Universal Control is incredible. This is me moving between a MacBook Pro, an iPad mini, and an iPad Pro using just the MacBook trackpad and keyboard. It's aware of position, lets you drag files, and supports iPadOS gestures. The hype was real and it all just works 🤯

I get very annoyed when I hear commentators in 2022 still talking about how companies can't innovate or collaborate if they are remote. Obviously they have never spoken to @automattic @Shopify @NearForm @axonista @boundless_HQ @flipdish @LibertyIRL @HubSpot to name but a few

Learning about podcasts in 2005:
XKCD's "Dependency" comic. A drawing of carefully stacked blocks described as "All Modern Digital Infrastructure." An arrow points to a small block at the bottom noting "A project some random person in Nebraska has been thanklessly maintaining since 2003." The noted block is positioned so that if it was removed the stack of blocks would structurally fail.
