9 - Florian Wirtz's nine chances created from open play against Brentford is the most by a player in a Premier League game since Sadio Mané v Burnley in January 2021 (9) and the most by a player in an away game since Samir Nasri v Spurs in August 2011 (10).
Progress.

On 13 October, we celebrate Blessed Gerard, founder and first Grand Master of the #OrderofMalta. His example embodies the spirit of a mission that has endured through the centuries, guided by the motto Tuitio Fidei et Obsequium Pauperum: upholding the faith and serving the poor.

Let’s dig, dive and delve into the vast collections and celebrate four decades of Liverpool’s national museum network.

Whether a person qualifies as English depends on a few aspects of identity: nationality, birthplace, lineage, cultural alignment.
A person is English if they were born in 🏴, grew up here, and / or have strong cultural and ancestral ties to 🏴. 🧵
What #SuellaBraverman did is the good ol’ scheme of “divide et impera”.
To all with strong cultural & ancestral ties to 🇬🇧 - come together and form a cohesive nation.
“E pluribus unum”.
Cultural & ethnical pluralism is a strength not a flaw.

Did you know that this church up on Everton Ridge is actually the great grandfather of the modern skyscraper?
If you look at St George's Church from the outside, it looks like a traditional, beautiful red sandstone building. But step inside, and you are looking at a true architectural world first.
Built back in 1814, it was the first church on the planet to be constructed with a cast iron frame. Local ironmaster John Cragg manufactured the inner skeleton (the slender pillars, the vaulted ceilings, and the window tracery) right down at his Tithebarn Street foundry. It was effectively a 19th century flat pack building
Architectural historians, including the great Quentin Hughes, have long pointed out just how revolutionary this was. By shifting the heavy lifting away from thick, load bearing stone walls to an internal metal skeleton, this Everton church proved you could support a grand building from the inside out.
It was a massive leap forward that paved the way for Liverpool's own Oriel Chambers fifty years later, and eventually, the towering steel skyscrapers of Chicago and New York. Liverpool wasn't just a busy port; it was engineering the future of city skylines. How boss is that?😀

Episode 2: Homebaked Bakery – Liverpool
“The match underpins you as a business, all them pubs, they need that match, they need the revenue off that to stay open the rest of the season.”
Angela McKay, operations manager at Homebaked Bakery in Liverpool tells us their story of what the football community means for them.
Selling nearly 1,000 pies each home game not only helps them employ people in the shop, but helps them support the wider community.
For every £1 spent at Homebaked, £20.23 is created in social value, raising the question, what would happen to places like Homebaked if their local football club disappeared?

American military police tried to impose a colour bar on an English village in 1943.
The village's three pubs responded by putting up signs reading: BLACK TROOPS ONLY. Bamber Bridge, Lancashire.
Black American soldiers were stationed there and the locals liked them. When the US Army asked the village to segregate its pubs, the publicans complied in the most English way available — by barring the white Americans instead.
On the night of 24 June 1943, white American MPs came to arrest a Black soldier at Ye Olde Hob Inn for a uniform infraction. British civilians and British soldiers in the pub intervened and told them to leave him alone.
It escalated into a night of shooting between Black GIs and American MPs. One Black soldier, William Crossland, was killed.
Dozens were court-martialed. British witnesses testified about the MPs' conduct, and sentences were reduced. The US Army quietly reorganised how MPs were deployed in the area.
An English village looked at American segregation, understood it immediately, and refused to host it.
The pub is still there. The sign is part of local legend.
