Dear @JDVance,
You warned on Wednesday that the next few months would bring a lot of gaslighting. Then you wrote the first draft.
Your post says any honest conversation must start with the war. Great. Since April you have been the administration’s lead negotiator, which makes you the owner of the track that turned a seven-week bombing campaign into an eight-month stalemate. Every week of ceasefire that was not a peace kept the Strait a question mark and kept diesel where eighty-seven percent of voters said they could feel it. Had you spent the spring arguing for the one hour the President says it would take instead of extending the stalemate, the war would have been over by summer, the pump would have said so, and you would be writing a different post. You promised no forever war. You then built a ceasefire with no exit, and sat on it for seven months. Tell voters what settlement you believed was achievable, what deadlines mattered, and what the administration planned to do if negotiations failed.
You say you know a great many of the smartest people in politics, but not one of them has a name. (Tucker?) At least one of them cannot count (also Tucker?), because on your list of four things, items one and two are the same item, and item three is a bumper sticker. Item four is the only entry that names a country, and it is not the country we are at war with.
(BTW I can guess where item four came from. Days ago @TuckerCarlson wrote that the administration was considering striking Pickaxe Mountain under pressure from Netanyahu, on the strength of Israeli intelligence. That is your fourth item, written out in full. No one had to poll for it. It was posted.)
The poll itself. “Change our relationship to Israel” is broad enough to mean several incompatible things. What did those voters actually say? Did they spontaneously mention Israel? Were they offered a list? What percentage selected that answer? Were they objecting to this war, particular Israeli policies, American assistance, or the alliance itself? Why not publish the questionnaire, the sample, the percentages, and the crosstabs.
By contrast, the networks published their exit polls. The issues voters were asked about were the economy, democracy, immigration, corruption, the Iran war and artificial intelligence. Israel did not need a column, because voters were not voting about Israel. The sole evidence that the American electorate rendered a verdict on Israel is a phone call between you and a man you will not identify.
Contrast your response with @realDonaldTrump’s. Asked about your post, he acknowledged the war’s electoral cost and said he would make the decision again because long term it's the only answer. Agree or disagree, he defended his decision.
In July, you yourself said America would have fought this war without Israeli influence. You explained that the president independently opposed an Iranian nuclear weapon—and that you agreed.
Now your post finds room for an unnamed pollster’s undefined grievance against Israel, but none for an accounting of your own decisions as the administration’s lead negotiator.
Name the pollster. Publish the questions and the results. Tell voters which decisions you supported, which you opposed, and which you would reverse.
The President answered for his decision. That is leadership. If you want to be a leader, you need to be able to answer for yours.
One of the things the data analysts on our side obsessed over was "composition"—whether the electorate looked close enough to 2024 for Republicans to win. And despite polls that showed a Democrat blowout, the data kept on telling us the same story: in some states turnout was merely OK, in other states it was downright amazing, and in no state was it catastrophic. There was a genuine sense of optimism on our team: our people were showing up.
So, I asked the smartest data guy I know, does that mean we're going to shock the world? "No," he told me. "We might do better than the polls suggest. But the data is telling us that a lot of Trump/Vance 2024 voters are pissed and planning to vote for the other guys. Our voters are turning out, but they may not vote for us."
Well, that looks prophetic now. Our voters did show up. In Florida, for example, the electorate was 9 points more Republican than Democrat, just a couple points worse than 2024. Undoubtedly there were places we could have done better on turnout. But the main problem is not turnout. The main problem is that many people who voted for Trump/Vance in 2024 voted for Democrats in 2026.
There will be a lot of infighting and arguing over what happened and why that is. One of the pollsters I really respect told me that our economic messaging wasn’t sharp enough down the stretch. I’m sure that’s true.
But the real reason we lost is obvious to almost everyone.
Another pollster—one of the smartest people I know in politics, told me yesterday we’d lose the generic ballot by 13 points. I felt negative going into Tuesday, but even I was shocked by this. In his polling, he saw that a lot of Trump 2024 voters were angry and planning to vote for Democrats. He asked those voters who had abandoned us what would cause them to come back on our team. The top four answers, accounting for nearly all of the responses were:
1) End the war
2) Focus on cost of living/inflation
3) Put America First
4) Change our relationship to Israel
Our voters showed up. And the above four reasons are why many of them voted for Democrats. This is according to a pollster who nailed the results. While many spent Monday attacking Rachel Campos Duffy for calling for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict, it turns out her political advice was sound. (She’s also a great person.)
In the next few months, there's going to be a lot of gaslighting. Expect to hear any number of establishment politicians say the solution to our woes is amnesty. I'm open to the idea that we should change enforcement—by focusing more on businesses that hire illegal labor, for instance. But anyone pushing amnesty is lying to you.
The reason we lost is the war. The president himself said so last night.
If you'd like to argue it was worth it, that losing the Senate for the next 6 years was worth it, then do so. Argue it was a worthwhile cost to pay. Agree or disagree, that's at least honest.
But everyone knows why we lost. And any honest conversation about where we go from here must start there.
I remain hopeful about our country. To the people who are pissed off and want to say, “I told you so”: you’re right, you did tell us so. Take that energy into electing Republicans who share your worldview. To the people who are just pissed at the results, you should be. Let’s take that anger and get back to the work of saving our country.

Mr. Vice-President,
Please allow me to present a different perspective.
The problem was not the Iran War. It was the cease fire.
If you start a war, you need to win it and finish it – otherwise don’t start it.
This war should have been over six months ago, with the Strait of Hormuz wide open and oil flowing. The second and third tiers of Iranian leadership should have been destroyed, and we should have supported the pro-western forces who could have taken leadership. We stood on the brink of a new, more peaceful Middle East - and then we blinked. We had a chance not only to deny Iran nuclear weapons, but to get rid of the world’s biggest supporter of terrorism.
Instead, we had a cease fire, which was followed by months of will we or won’t we finish the job. Every day was a different message. There still is. Is the war over? Is it about to begin? No one knows. There is confusion and inconsistency.
In June 2025, America was not involved. This was an Israel vs Iran issue.
No one forced the United States to attack Iran then, or in February of 2026. It was a decision made by President Trump. In my opinion, it was the right decision.
Once the decision was made, we should not have stopped until the regime fell. But instead, you negotiated a cease fire that didn’t last, didn’t work and left us in no man’s land, with higher prices and our troops still deployed.
Our troops could have been home, the Navy returned to its bases, a peaceful regime in place , new alliances forged, and gas prices below $3.00 a gallon.
No, Mr. Vice President. It’s not the war. It’s the so-called cease fire.

BREAKING: Michigan Poll Worker Tells Undercover Journalist in Arabic, “You Know There Is Someone [El-Sayed] You Must Vote For,” Directing Our Undercover Reporter Toward U.S. Senator-elect @AbdulElSayed
When our undercover reporter asked, “That Egyptian guy?” the poll worker confirmed “that’s the one you want,” and proceeded to explain to the voter there will be an Arabic-language ballot.
Under Michigan Compiled Laws § 168.744, electioneering is prohibited, making it illegal for anyone, including poll workers and poll watchers, to attempt to persuade voters to support or oppose a particular candidate, party ticket, or ballot question. This restriction applies inside polling rooms, connected voting areas, and within 100 feet of any entrance to a building housing a polling place. Violations of this law constitute a misdemeanor.

BREAKING: NATIONAL SECURITY THREAT IN NEW JERSEY - WE ARE BEING CONQUERED!”
The Red Green Alliance just took New Jersey’s 12th Congressional District.
Adam Hamawy has won. The Egyptian-born surgeon who testified in defense of the Blind Sheikh, the cleric whose followers bombed the World Trade Center and plotted to destroy the Lincoln and Holland Tunnels, the UN, and the FBI’s New York office — is now headed to Congress.
He spent years in terrorist Omar Abdel Rahman’s circle - the Blind Sheikh. He traveled with him. He sat through the 1991 Detroit conference where the Sheikh declared jihad “the pinnacle of Islam,” called for the conquest of the land of the infidels, and branded Egypt’s president “the loyal dog of America.”
Under oath he tried to bury it as an innocent “Islamic economy” conference - until prosecutors put the transcript in front of him and his story collapsed.
He also volunteered in Bosnia with the Benevolence International Foundation, later shut down by the U.S. government as a logistical front for Al-Qaeda.
Tonight that man receives classified intelligence briefings and a vote on America’s counterterrorism funding.
This is not an isolated race. New York City already fell to Zohran Mamdani. CAIR and Emgage have been building the machine, organized blocs, mosque networks, and progressive allies delivering seats across the region. New Jersey’s 12th is the latest.
The Red Green Alliance is capturing the New York–New Jersey corridor one district at a time while everyone else stays home.
The question is no longer if. It is how far we are going to allow this to go. And whether anyone in power is willing to treat this as the national security problem it is.
NATIONAL SECURITY THREAT IN NEW JERSEY - WE ARE BEING CONQUERED!
Jihadi Adam Hamawy just seized the Democratic primary in NJ-12 - and terrorists + their defenders are celebrating.
We are watching our country fall in real time.
The radicals showed up in force to cheer this victory:
Linda Sarsour - the activist who praises convicted terrorists, tells Muslims not to assimilate, and unleashes incendiary hate on non-Muslims.
Imam Mohammad Qatanani - convicted in Israel in 1993 for Hamas membership. His mosque's founder, Mohammad El-Mezain, was a founding board member of the Holy Land Foundation and convicted of funneling millions to Hamas in the terror-financing trial.
Yet the mosque president, Ibrahim Fahmy (President of ICPC), who is at the victory party tonight, still calls this imam a "man of peace" - just like their prophet Muhammad - even after he preached anti-Jewish and anti-Christian sermons, called for a new intifada against Israel, and described life in Hamas-ruled Gaza as "beautiful and normal."
Terrorists are literally laughing at us as they celebrate this takeover.
And the man they're celebrating?
Thirty-one years ago, Adam Hamawy took the stand in the largest terrorism trial in American history and lied under oath to protect the Blind Sheikh, Omar Abdel-Rahman, the mastermind whose followers bombed the World Trade Center in 1993 and plotted to blow up the Lincoln and Holland Tunnels, the UN, the FBI's New York office, and more.
Hamawy didn't just know the Sheikh. He attended a jihad conference with him in Detroit in 1991. He heard the calls for holy war — jihad as "the pinnacle of Islam," conquering the land of the infidels, and the Sheikh branding Egypt's president America's "loyal dog" and calling for his murder.
Under oath?
Hamawy swore it was just an innocent "Islamic economy" conference. He denied facts, claimed convenient "memory lapses," and only admitted the truth when prosecutors slammed the transcript in his face.
This is the man who now wants classified intelligence briefings and a vote on America's counterterrorism funding?
Radicals are embedding themselves in Congress while the GOP has not figured out a single way to stop this takeover.
We are going to lose our country. Imagine what they'll do when they control the presidency and Congress.

ALERT: An alert poll worker in Michigan has detected a Wi-Fi signal prior to closure of the polls that appears to be connected to a foreign Wi-Fi device inside a tabulator.
Only way to know for sure is to conduct a Physical Configuration Audit and a review of event logs for all tabulators in use to support our elections.
NOTE: There are no EAC certified tabulator configurations in use in Michigan which include internal modems (i.e. hidden within chassis and typically installed on motherboard).
Why is this concerning?
Remote access to tabulators opens the door to following election fraud mechanisms as a minimum:
1) Advanced intel on election results prior to closure of polls enabling fraudsters to "order" ballots to fill in vote deficits against projections
2) Direct manipulation of vote tallies
3) Direct manipulation of ballot images
Plus, it violates the chain of custody for election results.

🚨 MIDTERM ELECTION FRAUD 🚨
At 8:11am this morning, someone else went IN PERSON to my local polling place and stole my vote.
They forged my signature and were able to cast a ballot in my name because we don't ask for VOTER ID.
To make matters worse, the ONLY form of verification we apparently ask for in PA is your street address.
So did I have to provide my street address? No! They provided it to me.
All you have to say is, "yep, that's me." and boom, you get to vote.
Why are we still letting this happen in this country!?
Get out there and vote, and remember to vote red. The only people that are taking advantage of voter fraud in this way are those that do NOT want legitimate elections.
Let's flood the country red and fix this problem once and for all! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
The Democrats might have stolen my one vote but if this message finds you and gets you to go out there and vote RED, we can turn my one vote into thousands!! God bless the USA 🇺🇸

Holy shit…
They are setting up the steal. They are using their own fake polls to justify not calling the election for GOP candidates.
The GOP will be up big going into the night, the media will refuse to call races for the GOP, they will try to stall the election again, and they are going to try to steal it again.
They stall the election to calculate how many fraudulent mail-in ballots they need to swing each election, then they traffic fraudulent ballots that only break for Dems, to deep blue counties between 3-6 A.M.
All the polls were fake, so they can justify not calling races, so they can demoralize MAGA, and so they can convince the public that the only way the Dems could lose is because of Trump interfering.
They are setting up the steal, and Trump is posturing like he is going to stop them.
Democrats are heavily favored in public polling in the House and in several key Senate races. If those numbers prove accurate, it’s possible that NBC News could project control of both chambers on election night. But it’s more likely that determining the winners will take time. nbcnews.com/politics/2026-el…
