We point out the deep flaws in the bills that need to be addressed in @utsystem and institutional policies through shared governance. 1/

The revised versions of SB 17 and 18 are still problematic. SB 17 essentially makes DEI unlawful, with possible exceptions for research and accreditation but not for student services. SB 18 leaves faculty open to political retribution for expressing unpopular views.
