I'm officially calling myself an Award-Winning Tech Lead! Incredibly proud of what me and my team created with our friends at Reece.
We’re over the moon. It’s been announced... Thoughtworks is a winner of the Good Design Award for the Imagin3D project with Reece.🎉
We worked on the award winning 3D Bathroom Planner, which has just been recognized by @GoodDesignAus.

I had to solve a captcha today where they were asking for motorbikes, but giving me pictures of motorscooters... I feel so dirty 😭

From "A Philosophy of Software Design" by @JohnOusterhout, in the chapter about consistency...
"The value of consistency over inconsistency is almost always greater than the value of one approach over another"...
What do people think?
I have fallen so deeply into an #Obsidian note-taking plugin/configuration/query rabbithole I may never return... will someone please water my house plant?

Friends, I too have been laid off. Yes I’ve been here before and know the drill but no I still don’t love it.
Now open to senior engineering leadership roles in Melb AU or remote.
My portfolio is at theresaneate.net & LI at linkedin.com/in/neatet
If only I had a dollar for every time I've clashed with an overly officious building manager who loves making bike commuting just that little bit trickier by confiscating the bag of work/cycling clothes I leave near my bike.
4 weeks in new building and today was "that day"
I just backed Ten Wickets by @distributedlife on @kickstarter kickstarter.com/projects/dis…. Looking forward to recreating the 2nd Test Bairstow dismissal in card form.

I just came across a Captcha on a online CC payment screen after the card details had been validated but before the payment had been confirmed... does it matter whether it is a machine at this point?

I _really_ need mentors from the UK, Australia, one from Brazil and I'm desperate for more mentors from African and South & South-East Asian nations. There are potential Rubyists amongst you. Let's help them!

Congratulations to Rachel. I've known her for many years and expect she will continue with Rebecca's great example.
Thoughtworks selects Rachel Laycock as next Chief Technology Officer and Dr. Rebecca Parsons named CTO Emerita.

Sign, I just (re) learned the value of language-specific IDEs... after hitting my head against a VS Code wall trying to reference a class in a namespace from a separate testing project, JetBrains Rider showed me immediately that I hadn't given the class a .cs extension :-(
Today I signed a contract with a new employer. The last time I did that;
* W was in the White House
* the Brisbane Lions were reigning AFL premiers, and
* Enron were on their last legs.
It's been a minute.
