I started a Substack: The Trust Layer.
AI agents can now spend your money. Stablecoins are becoming real money. Banks are quietly going onchain.
I write about the part that decides who actually wins: trust.
First post is live. Subscribe and follow along, link in the bio😀
One week, three trust events: a G-SIB approves direct USDC redemption, a 140 company coalition launches a coin nobody owns, and a chartered crypto bank hits $4bn in deposits.
Post arguing all three are the same story - trust is consolidating at the infrastructure layer while ownership fragments everywhere else.
New on Fintech Brainfood:
🧠 The coin nobody owns.
140 companies just agreed to share a stablecoin.
OpenUSD is a play for the trillions of dollars not yet onchain.

Everyone tracks stablecoin supply. The number that actually signals maturity is swap volume, because money that gets exchanged is money that's being used. Polygon just did $1.23B of it in a month.
congratulations to the @0xPolygon team
Nice!! Polygon just flipped Base for #2 in stablecoin swap volume on @0xProject. $1.23B in June, new ATH 💪
the wins are compounding right now and still no one is talking about them! CT still sleeping on Polygon. how long? not long?
Everyone's celebrating that AI agents can finally pay.
Almost no one noticed the trillion dollar problem it created: there's no reliable way to tell a real agent from a hijacked one.
The wallet was the demo. Trust is the whole game.
Everyone watches stablecoin supply. That's the wrong number.
Since 2024, supply doubled. Usage grew 317%.
Money that sits is a store of value. Money that moves is money.
Stablecoins just crossed that line.
New piece, built on @AlliumLabs 's data.
The biggest banks spent a decade building their own private blockchains.
Most of those projects are now quietly winding down.
Yet the same banks are moving real money onto public chains.
A new @0xPolygon whitepaper explains the shift. Here is my read.

Agents need payment rails that run at machine speed.
We're excited to join @Mastercard’s Agent Pay for Machines, to help establish common rules for agent-to-agent use cases and accelerate the adoption of agentic commerce, with always-on settlement powered by Polygon.
Stablecoin infra still talks like crypto infra.
Chains. Bridges. Tokens. Wallets. Gas.
Enterprise buyers ask:
Can I accept deposits?
Settle faster?
Off-ramp?
Reconcile?
Plug into existing systems?
That’s why @0xPolygon OMS is interesting.
Buyers want money movement that works.
We have been working under the hood to bring everything together. If we have to make on-chain payments seamless, it's the orchestration of connecting all the pieces together.
@0xPolygon's Open Money Stack collapses that into one API. Now in technical preview.
Only open to select teams. Reach out if interested.
$2.5t moved on @0xPolygon everyone's reading that as a volume flex.
the real story: none of it needed a bank to vouch for it. that's open money.
and the next thing transacting on these rails isn't a person. it's an agent. which is the exact moment "who is this and what's it allowed to do" stops being optional.
6 years on mainnet. $2.5T+ in stablecoin value moved.
People use Polygon every day to move money. So we created a space where every item represent a real payment made on Polygon. If you look hard enough, you might find some hidden treasure.
