Idk if Carrick emphasized the need for more movement in his HT talk, but when one player shows a willingness to move for others, it often encourages those around him to do the same.
The 2nd-half improvement wasn’t a coincidence with Tielemans on the pitch. He brought the kind of movement needed to manipulate markers and open passing lanes, something that is crucial against m2m systems (and something Baleba needs to add to his game).
That, in itself, helped us push Roma deeper and apply more pressure.
