been thinking more about why anakin actually sticks as a meme compared to the usual one-week stuff
the character already has the full cycle built in. he starts with belief, gets used by people who pretend to care, loses the future he thought he was protecting, and then turns. you don’t need to force a caption onto it every time because the scenes themselves already do the work
that’s why it travels in different formats without dying. one post can be the family image as the stolen future, the next can be the council scene as the out of touch people running things, the next can be the turn as the moment people stop playing nice. same character, different angle
it reminds me of how pepe went from a random frog to something people actually attached meaning to, or how pnut became more than just the squirrel once the event hit. both got used because the base image could carry whatever people were already feeling. anakin does the same thing except the source material already has the betrayal and the lost future baked in
