Years ago, I ended a friendship because the person was chronically shit talking about others & calling it "prayer requests." 1 thing I learned is not to trust people who badmouth multiple others cause I knew I'd be next. That's been true 100% of the time.

If you think I'm joking, try reading this ๐ This is Saito Soma musing about the nature of acting in his essay, a part of the passage I offered to the fellow seiyuu fans
After his live, my JP teacher said it's hard to believe that someone who looks like Soma writes like this

Lmaoooooo I like to think Olivine would get tats in places easy to cover, but like his chest, ankle, forearm. I 100% believe Ed would get a tramp stamp. Idek why, it just seems right
The ppl arguing this in the replies ๐คฆ๐ป
You do get better with practice. Varying simple dialogue with complex, actions with dialogue alone, shorter with longer. Same as all writing.
Big thing: use correct punctuation, please! It disrupts flow otherwise.
God yes, please. It's just basic respect. Eng VAs will be like "I voiced a Pokemon & an uncensored guy with a huge schlong." Jp VAs can use 2 pseuds in the same media & talk like they're literally 2 diff ppl. BIG cultural difference
This. When I'm unable to mask, invariably at least a few people will decide I didn't live up to their fantasy version of me. They'll drop me because the friendship was conditional. The ones who stick around are true friends.
Outside of the US, I simply say I'm American/from the US. And on a day to day basis, it's not really relevant. But within my family, our cultural history & the blend of Old/New World is VERY significant. +
of prejudice for my entire life. I look distinctly like stereotypes of my culture. There's a history of why & how we were used & then "absorbed" into "American culture" with a lot of our history erased, denied, or otherwise attacked...& still being othered. +

only americans get to be told we have no culture and then when we go and try to find our ancestors and learn about their culture and try to keep their history alive weโre larping now we canโt do that
