Last week we were in Dallas Texas with select business leaders from around the country that are fellow members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for our 6th Annual Business Leaders Summit. I have the privilege of helping to plan this Summit each year and it’s so rewarding to spend time with the amazing attendees. We talk about everything from success and stewardship to faith and family. It’s always inspiring and edifying, and it reminds us that being dedicated followers of Christ means loving and serving even more. Dieter F. Uchtdorf said, “The gospel of Jesus Christ is good news, glad tidings, and so much more”….and it truly is SO MUCH MORE!!! It’s more than just a set of beliefs, it’s a way of becoming more patient, charitable, disciplined, forgiving, and Christlike over time. And you can see that goodness reflected in the lives of those who live it. I’m honored and proud to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ! The more I live it, the better I become. Thanks to all who participated - you make the world a better place. 💕

Happy 33rd birthday Dalton Anderson! 33!!! How the heck did we get to this age so fast?!?! One minute I’m holding you in my arms for the first time rocking you to sleep and the next you’re a grown man holding your fifth child in your arms rocking him to sleep. It’s an honor and a privilege to be your Mom but the greatest blessing of all is having you as my friend. I love you buddy 🥰

This past week we welcomed grandbaby #7 into our family - Theo David Rollin Anderson (his double middle name is in honor of both his grandpas which is super special). What an awesome addition this new little boy is to our family and you can’t imagine how excited Flynn is to finally have another boy after getting five girls in a row 🤣. We are so incredibly happy for Dalton Anderson and Alexis Anderson and so appreciative of the sacrifices they make taking care of their five little ones that Heavenly Father’s entrusted to their care. It’s a ton of work being a parent and it can sometimes feel like a thankless job but hang in there because the payoff is that one day you’ll get to be a grandparent and it’s literally the greatest thing in the whole wide world!!!! 🥰🥰🥰

Happy heavenly birthday today Dad. My Dad would have turned 88 today but this coming Thursday it will be the three year anniversary since he passed away. Not a day has gone by in three years that I haven’t missed him like crazy. The reality is that I still haven’t been able to bring myself to take him off my favorites list of my cell phone…his ringtone I had programmed to play whenever he called me is the Superman theme song, which pretty much says it all about the way I feel about my Dad. He was my hero, my example, my guide, and my bestie. It’s super hard not having him here tonight to celebrate his birthday with us but we plan to eat a bowl of ice cream in his honor because nothing made my Dad smile quite like a big bowl of ice cream could. Love you forever Dad.

We’ve had a full week in New York City: Visiting our friends Michael Beneville and Camille Purdy at their amazing Beneville Studio to see where all their magic gets created and then going with them to both the Empire State Building observatory and the iHeart Media headquarters that they designed. What an incredible experience that was and their creative genius is nothing short of AWESOME!! Rollin and I were also able to spend a day alone doing a little shopping on 5th avenue before we joined up with our fellow Hale Theater Founders for our annual trip together. We were able to slip away for a bit and spend time with our NYC friends Steven and Nino Hirth at their gorgeous Central Park home and they took us to a phenomenal Georgian food restaurant that we loved. What a treasure it is spending time with friends. Mid-trip Rollin and I got word from home that grandbaby number seven is eager to make an earlier than expected appearance in the world, so we threw everything into suitcases and headed to the airport. We both knew that as sad as we will be to miss the rest of the founders trip in NYC, we’ll be even sadder if we miss being there for our family when grandbaby #7 arrives. And we’ve never regretted the times we’ve put family first 💕. Inflight back home now with fingers crossed we make it back in time 🤞🙏🏻 🤞

Last week Rollin and I were invited to tour the new Temple Square Visitors Center in Salt Lake City and all I can say is WOW!!! It exceeded every expectation I’d had going into it, which is saying something given I went into it with the expectation it was going to be spectacular! I was honestly blown away by how memorable an experience it will be for all who come and take an “Inside a Temple Tour” at the new Visitor’s Center - there’s nothing in the world quite like it! And I’m so excited that starting May 18th it will be open to the public where anyone can schedule to go a the free 30 minute ‘Inside a Temple Tour’ which you are 100 percent going to want to go on because anyone who does the tour will get to experience a taste of the overwhelming feelings of peace and joy that exist inside the temple and see why temples are the holiest, most sacred structures in the world where heaven and earth meet. Truly incredible! 💕 Information on how to schedule a free tour along with additional images and info on the new Temple Square Visitor’s Center can be found at: newsroom.churchofjesuschrist… . Reservations can also be made through a free “Temple Square” app.

I’ve been on the Board of the Center for Medical Innovation at the University of Utah for ten+ years and yesterday was a truly momentous occasion for us as it was the ribbon cutting of CMIs brand new James LeVoy Sorenson Center for Medical Innovation building, a nearly 60,000 square foot, four-level, state-of-the-art facility designed to accelerate medical research, medical device development, and life sciences training. It was also the coolest ribbon cutting ceremony EVER as it was done with a DaVinci surgical robot! I caught it on video for you. Having this building go from a dream to a reality is awesome so huge thanks to all who helped make it happen!!! Not only will this benefit the lives of countless students, it will also bless the lives of countless patients worldwide with all the incredible medical innovations that launch out of CMI. 🙏🏻. (You can learn more about CMI here: lnkd.in/gjNZHiHF ).

Great night up at @USUAggies for the annual Shark Tank Event where student entrepreneurs pitch their companies to a panel of investors to win cash prizes to help them grow their businesses. I never cease to be impressed by how awesome the students are at Utah State University @huntsmanschool are - the perfect blend of humility, hard work, and can do attitudes. #GoAggies

It was an AWESOME day yesterday speaking to students at @BYU @BYUMarriott about Entrepreneurship, Knowing what you Stand For, Living with Integrity, the Power of a Goal Poster, and Resilience. The students were amazing and asked such great question. I wish we’d have had an extra hour for Q&A to have gotten to everyone with their hand raised. I was so humbled that so many students stood in line, some waiting more than an hour to each tell me thank you and have me sign their book. That touched my heart more than those students will ever know. The icing on the cake of the day was when two different students who had each heard me speak in classes years ago saw me in the lobby and waited in line to be able to tell me the impact talks I’d given years ago have had in their lives since. WOW! What a remarkable gift that was to receive🥲! A great reminder that anytime we serve others, our own lives get blessed tenfold - talk about getting a great return on investment!!! #worthit

It was awesome being a guest judge with @timdraper on his series @meetthedrapers . For those what aren’t familiar with the show - entrepreneurs pitch their companies to a team of judges who get “adopted” into Tim Draper’s family (thus the name “Meet the Drapers”) in hopes of receiving the grand prize of a one million dollar investment. I loved that it was totally unscripted and we genuinely had no idea what to expect or where things would go as judges - no deliberating about it, no behind the scenes convos, no directions to follow - it was all raw and real as it gets, which I loved! And I love being involved in efforts like this that promote entrepreneurship. Thanks for adopting me into your family @timdraper 😍!

March has been a whirlwind thus far—so many incredible moments back to back, I’ve had no time to share them! 😅 I wish I could’ve had you all along for the ride because, for me, happy moments are brightest when shared. Our month began visiting with four of the twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Then the very next day, we spent five hours with Cardinal Mauro Gabetti (Archpriest of St. Peter’s Basilica, Vicar General of Vatican City) at the home of a dear friend. We ended the night singing and laughing around the piano together—what a treat! The next morning, Rollin and I rushed to the airport to fly to Los Angeles and, no kidding, the Cardinal was standing there at our gate —talk about no such thing as coincidence! In LA, I had the privilege of speaking at the International Women in Diplomacy Conference, hosted by the Consulate General of Senegal, Mame Toucouleur Mbaye, at the LA Temple Visitors Center. The event brought together diplomats, consuls, and leaders from over 35 countries to celebrate the incredible contributions of women to global peace and policy. It was an honor to be a part of this powerful gathering and form new friendships with so many incredible women. As Rollin and I flew back to Utah to be with the Eccles at the Cynosure Summit, we couldn’t help but marvel at how blessed we are to be surrounded by so many truly good people in our life. People who are accomplished yet humble—people who use their gifts and talents to lift others and, most importantly, people of deep faith. At the pinnacle of good people in our life is our beloved Prophet, Dallin H. Oaks and his wife Sister Kristen Oaks. As we got to celebrate the accomplishments of the Stella H. Oaks Foundation with them this week and enjoy Fiddler on the Roof together, my heart was filled with the impression that true richness isn’t about things one has—it’s about the people you share your life with. I’m deeply grateful for the love, faith, and friendships that fill my life. Experiences like these—and the people who make them meaningful—are the true treasures. 💝

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my incredible daughter Ashley Hill!!! It’s hard to believe it’s been 30 years since the day you were born, and even crazier to realize I was 30 years old in that next throwback photo of us, and here you are turning 30 years old yourself today!!! I couldn’t be prouder of the amazing woman, mother, and daughter of God that you are. It’s a blessing to be your Mom because you truly make everything magic! With love and prayers that your birthday wishes come true 💕. (you’re 30!!!!)

Great night at the Sundance Salt Lake City Opening Night to see the World Premiere of Cookie Queens, (executive produced by Prince Harry and Meghan, Duke and Duchess of Sussex). It was a heartwarming documentary about four young Girl Scouts and their families as they go through one of the cookie selling seasons. Having been a Girl Scout myself as a young girl it brought back a lot of memories. The little girls highlighted in the movie were absolutely adorable and so incredibly inspiring. Definitively a movie worth seeing!🥰 #sundancefilmfestival #cookiequeens #HarryandMeghan

The past four weeks have been amazing! They’ve been the perfect blend of time spent serving others and time with my family - the two things that best put Christ at the center of the season. For the first time this year, Rollin and I were finally able to free our time up enough to be able to be truly present in our children and grandchildren’s lives this holiday season. That time has allowed us to make magical memories with our family - From a fabulous Thanksgiving dinner; to a fun trip to Opryland in Nashville; to piano & gymnastics recitals; to movie nights; to building and decorating gingerbread houses; to seeing all the Christmas lights; and doing our annual ugly Christmas sweater family photoshoot - time with our family is the greatest gift we could get this Christmas. We’ve also been able to spend time serving others this month - From serving as a judge in BYU’s Big Idea business plan competition; to speaking about The Gift of the Holy Ghost at a friend’s Baptism; to hosting out of state friends on a visit to the Family History Library, The Bishops Storehouse, Welfare Square, Humanitarian Center, and to the incredible Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square; to speaking to students at Highland High School about the importance of Kindness and how doing One Kind Act A Day will literally change your life. Spending time serving others has helped me feel closer to Christ this Christmas season and I believe fully in these words found in the scriptures: “When ye are in the service your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God.” I thank God for the time I’m able to spend with my family this Christmas season and for the many opportunities he grants me to serve. I LOVE Christ and I LOVE the Christmas season! 🌟
