I'm an #actuallivingscientist whose research group uses enzymes from marine bacteria to create new molecules for drug discovery and ecology.
Excited and grateful for this opportunity to grow undergraudate research opportunities at Rose-Hulman! ⚗️👩🔬
Congratulations to Amy Lane (Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology- amylanephd.com/), a Noland Awardee and a recipient of an OrgSyn summer research grant for 2026!

Twas the night before Fall classes and all through the building not a creature was stirring……except for new faculty frantically preparing for day one! 😆
I’ve moved as Professor to @RoseHulman, an undergraduate STEM institution back in my "home" state of Indiana. I am grateful for fantastic students, colleagues, and administrators @UofNorthFlorida over the last 14 yrs and excited to impact undergrads at Rose! 🧫⚗️

Super excited for the #ACSSpring2024 session “Successful Products and Models of Undergraduate-Based Research” this afternoon in Room 344! At 3:05pm, I’ll showcase @UofNorthFlorida #undergraduateresearch on how marine bacteria make cool molecules. #naturalproduct #biosynthesis 🧬
The #marinenaturalproduct @GordonConf has left me both tired and inspired. I’m calling that a win! Big thanks to @BalunasLab and Hendrik Luesch for organizing a great conference. 🚀
This is full of great ideas! 💡💯
As people go back to work in January, a few things lab heads can do to make lab life easier in their labs
1. Write a lab manual - it outlines everyone's expectations! (Tip: If you have an established lab this should be done with your team)
