As I read excerpts of the inspiring 1st chapter today to the students I also showed pictures of the people the text was about: Anne Frank and The Freedom Writers. The students listened and were riveted. Success!

So I wrote a grant to purchase books about it and titled it “Persistence Pays Off” in memory of my dad. Today it was funded by the @Foundation4SPS in the amount of $1,764.08. I’m very excited and I know my dad would be so proud!🙂@officialSPS #supportSPS #BackToSchoolGrants
