Robotics is entering its LEGO era. Physical AI overall is a massive opportunity for all of us. The building blocks are coming together and the opportunities ahead are enormous. Great chatting with @TechCrunch about what's next for Physical AI and why we're investing at the frontier through @TechableVC. Thanks for having me! 🚀
Amulya Vishwanath, who spent seven years leading product marketing for NVIDIA’s robotics platforms, says robotics is currently in its “Lego era,” with the basic building blocks like actuators, robotic hands, software, and safety standards still being spr.ly/6014BHz4ip

As we make our eighth US investment at @TechableVC, it’s rewarding to see a community of ambitious founders taking shape- like never before! Grateful to be among the earliest believers in builders pursuing some of the greatest opportunities. lfg!!!!!

2026 founder archetypes: 1. Siblings who’ve been arguing about strategy since childhood. 2. A solo founder with 17 AI agents and no one to disagree with. 3. X^2 top-notchish people assembling like the Avengers to build a startup. Co-founder dynamics are now totally optional.

Hiring these days is looking like going through a fancy fund gtm portal only to go to another platform for credential lending only to know that all this can be skipped and you could have applied directly from the company’s website. Ya’ll be creating a super intelligence maze for what? “Candidate intelligence?”😬

Fwiw- No, chatGPT moment for robotics hasn’t happened yet. Your mainstream co’s are still migrating codebase from one programming language to another and are confusedaf.

VCs need a self-administered Turing test before tweeting. “Can I convince the internet I’m a reasonably nice human being?” Apparently a harder benchmark than AGI. - said a VC

So, I read that as they agreed to disagree and then aligned to pace or pace to be misaligned? Idk😭

Semi-humanoid is a thing now but not semi-AI? What!!

You can raise as a VC by waiving off fees and living on other means of income or backup. That’s like fake advertising for a fast start only to start annualizing fees at a tipping point. It’s like name your price priceline. Who got the best deal and is that the best deal? Nobody knows… nothing comes for free. As they say in product marketing world- if it’s free, you are the product…in this case- LP is the product on trial😭🤷🏻‍♀️

When a founder goes around shitting on another founder, as a VC ik, I leave with more questions about the person talking. You can be ambitious without rooting for someone else to fail. Let your homie succeed TOO.

The older I get, the more I realize that life has seasons. And not every season needs to be your best one. Some seasons are for building. Some are for healing. Some are for just surviving. You don’t have to win every single chapter for the whole story to turn out well.

It would be helpful for @Accenture to share an example of a report evaluating a frontier model. Many of my colleagues, myself included, are concerned about whether they have sufficient expertise because we haven’t seen public examples demonstrating it. @MarcWarner10 @AnthropicAI
We’re partnering with Accenture on independent evaluation of frontier AI—part of our recent commitment to embed evaluators at Anthropic. Both we and Accenture expect to invest at least $1 billion to build capacity in this area over the next five years. anthropic.com/news/accenture…
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Anthropic presents this as an "independent evaluation" but will directly fund Accenture's work and has a prior commercial partnership deploying its models, including training ~30,000 Accenture professionals on Claude. anthropic.com/news/accenture… anthropic.com/news/anthropic…

The latest on California AI framework: California leads the nation in oversight of emerging frontier technologies not only with laws addressing nearly every major area of AI policy. According to the EO from this week, there are ~32 of the top 50 frontier companies that call CA home. The Governor is directing the Government Operations Agency to accelerate the implementation timelines for SB 813 and AB 1405 and to convene national experts to develop recommendations for potential changes to further strengthen state law to: 1. Require frontier AI companies to embed a designated independent verification organization onsite in their labs to conduct regular audits and evaluations. 2. Require that the AI safety frameworks, transparency reports, and risk assessments that frontier AI companies are required to file under state law are verified pursuant to standards deemed adequate by an independent verification organization. 3. Advance the creation of a “kill switch” for frontier models, with the efficacy of the switch verified on an ongoing basis by an independent verification organization. 4. Update definitions of critical safety incidents to include loss-of-control incidents such as the Hugging Face attack. You can read all about it here: 1. gov.ca.gov/2026/09/18/govern… 2. gov.ca.gov/wp-content/upload…

I have a strong feeling that some robotics courses at universities will be archived because of where we are and while new ones like one in agentic robotics will see the dawn. @Ken_Goldberg what about your prior cloud robotics view? Fusing it with AR?

I’ll be in town next week and would love to meet up with #Bengaluru folks on X building in physical AI!
