Ten years of uncertainty, ten years of fighting for the person you love. The impact on her and her children is immense. Together with Sweden, Belgium continues to work for his case. We have raised it repeatedly and will keep doing so. No one should be used as a pawn by a regime. Belgium opposes arbitrary detention and the death penalty wherever they occur.
