The first rule of managing risk across volatile power markets is to have fun and be yourself.

We should have super abundant electricity. Let’s build that asap. But in the mean time, if the grid is in a near emergency situation during a heatwave, in that moment healthy people should be fine raising the house’s temp to 78 F. You can’t tell me we’re that weak and whiny.

As a millennial dad with a boomer dad, this tracks. Providing was the expectation. Presence is the upgrade.
Modern dads are helping out at home more than ever, @lymanstoneky finds. Married dads of young children in 1965 did, on average, less than 10 hours a week of child care or help around the house. Dads in 2024 contributed nearly 30 hours a week, an increase of approximately 300%.

How ERCOT looks at PJM when it hears it may be considering changing to an energy-only market.

God’s indescribable creation.
Only one chance in this lifetime… Like watching sunset at the beach from the most foreign seat in the cosmos, I couldn’t resist a cell phone video of Earthset. You can hear the shutter on the Nikon as @Astro_Christina is hammering away on 3-shot brackets and capturing those exceptional Earthset photos through the 400mm lens. @AstroVicGlover was in window 3 watching with @Astro_Jeremy next to him. I could barely see the Moon through the docking hatch window but the iPhone was the perfect size to catch the view…this is uncropped, uncut with 8x zoom which is quite comparable to the view of the human eye. Enjoy.
