Run DigitalOcean Managed Agent Runtime Services (M.A.R.S.) from inside @herdrdev. 🐏 Developer advocate @amit shows how: local and cloud runs in one list, attach to a live one and watch it work, start a new one without leaving the terminal. Herdr MARS Plugin. 🔗 do.co/4xs4mCU

The benchmark for a coding agent is no longer how well it answers a prompt. It is whether it can stay on duty when nobody is watching. @amit built a Flask app crashes after a todo is deleted. Managed Agents detects the failure, finds the bug, writes a regression test, implements the fix, and opens a PR before the developer returns. Observe → diagnose → test → repair → review. This is the shift from copilots waiting inside a chat window to durable cloud agents that continuously monitor software, preserve context, take bounded action, and leave an auditable trail. DigitalOcean Managed Agents (M.A.R.S) is now in private preview: do.co/4xxXMvv
Our developer advocate @amit planted a bug in a Flask app, deleted a todo, and walked away. Managed Agents caught the crash, found the bug, wrote a test, fixed it, and opened a PR before he was back with a coffee. Now in private preview. 🔗 do.co/4xxXMvv

Love this from @amit. "Repo Lens" feeds an entire codebase to Qwen 3.8 in one pass, then surfaces maintenance health and what the software touches. It even says “couldn’t verify” when uncertain. About $1 per repo on @DigitalOcean Serverless Inference.
Alibaba dropped Qwen 3.8 last week, and it's now on @DigitalOcean Serverless Inference. The thing that got my attention is the context window, hundreds of thousands of tokens in one pass. Basically a whole codebase. So I threw an entire repo at it.

Repo lens with @digitalocean
Replying to @amit
It reads a whole repo for about a dollar. dotenv, for example, ~30k tokens, ~40 cents. It tells me in plain English what it is, that it's actively maintained (which tracks, my friend @motdotla maintains it), and that it's low risk. A healthy dependency.

Stop Claude-coding yourself into a corner. 🚫🤖 @amit built a simple CLI tool that automates setup & forces you to document your intent before you write a single function. We're showing you how. ⬇️

This is how we’re setting up the other OpenClaws Felix and I work with. The Digital Ocean infrastructure is excellent, whole process is super easy.
If you want to get started with OpenClaw but don't have a Mac Mini sitting around, this is how I'd do it: Set up a $24/mo DigitalOcean droplet, run the 1-Click install, connect Telegram, and you've got an always-on AI agent in 10 minutes. Wrote up the full walkthrough: shopclawmart.com/blog/set-up…

Say goodbye to maintenance mode & migrate from Heroku today. 👋 #DigitalOcean's App Platform gives the "git push" simplicity you love at an affordable price with a single prompt migration process.

That's why I'm such a big fan of @hey_amandam, @nickytonline, @virtualized6ix, @dennisivy11, @hermes_f, and @amit. Not only are they really cool people, but they're also really good at technical topics and breaking them down for non-technical folks. Also, in an era of AI-generated slop, it's cool to see REAL humans representing a company/product. It creates a personal connection between potential/current users and the brand.
Devs who write about their work/company; talk at conferences - lots of companies in the past used to not care much about this and not value it the least. Feels like the tide is changing: people who do this but are not valued get hunted down by companies who understand this value

My sons first computer. Won it at the Hacking Agents Hackathon at the @digitalocean office a few weeks ago. Didn’t finish building it until now. It took a while to build but it was a good experience to build together with him. Thanks @amit and @deusexspirit! 😁
