for how heavily I use AI at work most would be stunned by how little I use it in home life

early conviction from @AmberIllig always
POV: our investment in @noxmetals 🔥 @zanehengsperger was buying their first saw with an empty factory, trying to convince VCs that they could scale physical operations faster with proprietary software. Now they hit $25M in annualized revenue in ONE YEAR and are inspiring other companies to do the same. If you’re building tech-enabled infrastructure in a critical supply chain, I want to hear from you *early*

I promise you, they know. And it’s a major problem for front line public servants. Have spoken to people at federal agencies dealing with this — from Library of Congress requests for records to FOIAs to constituent services
A few of us have been predicting saturation of adversarial contact points for a while, but this is first set of good graphs I’ve seen of it. Imagine it will take owning agencies a very substantial amount of time to realize what is happening.

I have heard nobody talk about TechCrunch Disrupt in YEARS yet I decide to re-watch Silicon Valley and...everywhere. Baader-Meinhof-ish.

A few days and a few dozen plays in, interesting to see what people are guessing. Also, there's two questions nobody has gotten right yet :)

Zurich airport. European security is very aristocratic - you must be first or business class to have an expedited experienced. In America at least you can be a dollar princess and get precheck or Clear no matter what.

I hear a lot of talk from VCs about the slop decks they are being flooded with, but respect goes two ways here guys. I've seen a disappointing number of AI-slop diligence requests and Q&A docs being sent over to my clients in the past few weeks as fall fundraising picks up.

Been reflecting on what entry level work looks like, and ended doing some serious introspection on my APM program and how it can be a model for rapidly developing judgment when the grunt work goes away: stillpercolating.substack.co…

Today, @statecraft_labs acquired Daybreak to help the US government stop hemorrhaging human, financial and intellectual capital to consultants. Statecraft connects fleets of AI workers to data and applications to help goverment agencies achieve outcomes. This merger will allow agencies looking to eliminate fraud, reduce waste and dig out of their backlogs faster work with Statecraft more easily 🇺🇸

We need a new consumer protection act for the AI era that makes it illegal for a company to present AI as a real person. Twice in a month I’ve been connected to “a live person” and it’s been 99% AI (the 1% is for the chance that someone is just copy and pasting AI suggested answers)
