Today, we’re introducing 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗹𝘀 & 𝗗𝘂𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗯𝘆 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗲. For many lenders and investors financing GPU projects or data center compute deals, this is a new asset class with risks they may not be familiar with. 1/

Introducing American Compute - we help startups own, not rent compute. You're a new neocloud, or a founder who's sick of renting from one? It’s hard to buy millions of dollars of equipment without financing. We can help. -- Everyone thinks the bottleneck for compute is chips. Or power. It's not. It's credit, at least for startups. In 1933, if you wanted a house in America, you put half down and owed the rest in a few years, or you didn't get a house. Homeownership was for the rich. Then Washington started insuring mortgages. Lenders could finally trust the collateral, and the long-term, low-down-payment mortgage took over. Within a generation, homeownership went from under half of America to nearly two-thirds. GPUs are where houses were in 1933. $3 trillion will be spent on AI hardware by 2030. But a near million-dollar GPU server gets treated like it's worth nothing. Lenders will take your house as collateral. They'll take your car. They won't take your B300s. So the hyperscalers get all the compute, and everybody else gets locked out. This sucks. The most important asset of the decade, and almost nobody is allowed to borrow against it. And the borrowers? Most startups have sh*t credit and have never seen a term sheet. We structure small, messy borrowers into deals the smartest funders in the world want to close. In the future, there are two kinds of companies: the ones that own compute, and the ones that rent it from them. You don't want to be the renter. We believe everybody should qualify to buy compute and control their destiny. Need financing? gpulenders.com Want to lend or invest project equity? amcompute.com

Listen to our CEO, @berniebiased, share insights on the state of GPU financing and credit backstops.
New episode of Where Capital Meets Compute: Bernie Margulies, founder of American Compute @amcompute1, on the real risk behind every GPU-backed loan. His answer isn't chip obsolescence, it's NVIDIA's own margin. At 70–75% gross margin today, a price cut NVIDIA could easily absorb would gut GPU resale values across the industry.
