Here is the simplest way to understand how the populist politics of the likes of Reform and Restore work: Imagine 200 people are waiting for NHS treatment. One is an illegal migrant. You convince the other 199 that the reason they cannot get better access to the NHS is that one person. Suddenly, you don’t need to propose policies addressing decades of underinvestment, workforce shortages, capacity problems and inefficiencies. You just announce a policy to deport that one migrant and present it as the solution. Now apply the same logic to crime. Constantly highlight crimes involving migrants until people start to believe that migrants are responsible for crime generally. Then, when people ask how you will solve crime, the answer is simple: deport the migrants. Housing? Blame migrants. Public services? Blame migrants. Pressure on infrastructure? Blame migrants. The appeal is obvious. Complex problems that require complicated, expensive and sometimes uncomfortable solutions are reduced to a single identifiable group that can be blamed. But then you add another part to the strategy. You relentlessly attack the government that is actually trying to deal with those underlying problems. First, you claim they are doing nothing about migration, even when the available statistics show that migration & asylum numbers are falling. When that same government makes difficult decisions to address the wider structural problems, such as raising taxes to fund public services, you present those decisions as an attack on ordinary British people. So you create a perfect political trap. Blame the migrant for the problem. Blame the government for not removing the migrant. Blame the government again when it takes the difficult decisions necessary to address the real underlying issues. By the time the population have voted you into power, it's too late for them to realise you didn't actually have any viable policies. You now have all the power and you can start delivering on all the promises you made to your wealthy donors, and those who voted you in are left scratching their heads, wondering why everything got even worse.

I seem to have upset the @SuellaBraverman fan club - so let me be clear. This women sows hate, lies and division. She is wrong. She does not represent the vast majority of Britons. RT if you agree P.s. multiculturalism is great.

Nigel Farage deleted this post about the RNLI, so I have decided after much consideration that regretfully I will not be using it to raise money for the RNLI. BREAKING: During his speech today, Donald Trump recounted helping save Titanic victims: “I saved more people than anybody, many people, the best people. I said, ‘Turn left, Captain. Very simple. Very easy.’ He didn’t listen. I know icebergs. Nobody knows icebergs better than me.”

Why did the far right wait until Labour had the boat crisis under control before unleashing their uniformed paramilitary thugs? It’s almost as if this was never really about the boats, but about undermining democracy. – at Tottenham, London

📲📲REFORM CRISIS ZOOM CALL: “WE ARE FUCKED.” (I just goy the transcript .....) Nigel Farage has started the meeting. Eight boxes appear on screen. Nobody looks happy. Richard Tice is sitting in the dark. 🥓 Lee Anderson has forgotten to mute himself. Suella Braverman appears to be vibrating with rage. Robert Jenrick has a solicitor sitting just outside the camera frame. FARAGE: Right. Cameras off. Nobody records this. Nobody leaks it. TICE: Nigel, it is a Zoom call. Half the party is probably livestreaming it. ANDERSON: Can everybody hear me? I am still in Calais. POCHIN: Unfortunately, yes. FARAGE: We need discipline. We need unity. We need to show the country that Reform is ready to govern. I have another £5m coming ! ROSINDELL: Nigel, you are currently fighting a man wearing a bin on his head. FARAGE: Count Binface is irrelevant. KRUGER: He has clearer policies than we do. BRAVERMAN: And better party discipline. FARAGE: Enough about the fucking bin. TICE: You triggered a by-election to prove the establishment was frightened of you. Now the establishment is watching you argue with household waste. ANDERSON: At least the bin turns up. Farage freezes for three seconds. Nobody knows whether it is the internet connection or rage. FARAGE: Let us move on.Operation Fortress. The Royal Navy will stop every small boat in the Channel. 😯 JENRICK: And then what? BRAVERMAN: We return them to France. JENRICK: Has France agreed? BRAVERMAN: France does not get a vote. TICE: It is France, Suella. It generally expects a vote before we start delivering boats into its territorial waters. ANDERSON: We could tow them. POCHIN: Tow desperate people across one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world? ANDERSON: It sounds strong. ROSINDELL: It sounds like a policy written by somebody shouting at Dunkirk. KRUGER: Perhaps we should pray for calm seas. TICE: Perhaps we should pray for a fucking legal adviser. FARAGE: The details do not matter. The message matters. Strength. Borders. Britain. POCHIN: That is three slogans, Nigel. Not a government. BRAVERMAN: The public wants action. TICE: The public also wants us not to accidentally start a naval confrontation with France. ANDERSON: That would dominate the news. POCHIN: Yes, Lee. So would the Titanic. Farage removes his glasses. FARAGE: Next issue: Robert. Jenrick immediately leans towards the screen. JENRICK: I am not going to prison. Silence. TICE: Nobody said you were. JENRICK: I merely wanted to establish that clearly. ROSINDELL: You have now mentioned prison before anyone mentioned the investigation. JENRICK: It is an investigation into a donation. I deny wrongdoing. I have not been charged. I followed the rules. And I am definitely not going to prison. ANDERSON: That last sentence is not helping. BRAVERMAN: Robert, why is there a solicitor behind your curtain? A hand slowly disappears from behind Jenrick. JENRICK: That is my interior decorator. POCHIN: Carrying a legal pad? JENRICK: It is a very complicated curtain. FARAGE: The establishment is targeting all of us. TICE: Nigel, every time somebody asks a question about money, you shout “establishment.” FARAGE: Because it works. TICE: It used to work. Now it sounds like the smoke alarm in a burning casino. KRUGER: Could we return to our values? ROSINDELL: Which values? KRUGER: Family. Faith. Nation. POCHIN: And apparently using the Royal Navy as an Uber service back to Calais. BRAVERMAN: I am sick of this weakness. We need deportations. Detention camps. Warships. Consequences. ANDERSON: And videos. Lots of videos. TICE: Jesus Christ. Listen to us. Nigel is being mocked by Count Binface. Robert keeps announcing that he is not going to prison. Suella wants to invade the Channel. Lee thinks every national crisis needs a selfie stick.Danny wants to pray. Andrew looks as though he joined the wrong Zoom call. And Sarah is the only person here who understands how completely fucked we are. POCHIN: Thank you, Richard. I think. FARAGE: We are not fucked. We are the future of Britain. JENRICK: Which one of us is the future leader? Everyone begins speaking at once. BRAVERMAN: I have the experience... JENRICK: I have the economic credibility... TICE: I paid for the bloody party... ANDERSON: The members trust me... POCHIN: Nobody trusts any of you... KRUGER: Could we show some humility... ROSINDELL: Could somebody explain why Zia is still listed as host? The screen suddenly changes. ZIA YUSUF has entered the meeting. ZIA: Sorry. I have been listening the whole time. FARAGE: For God’s sake. ZIA: I have prepared a crisis plan. TICE: Does it involve the Navy? ZIA: Yes. POCHIN: Does it involve France agreeing? ZIA: No. JENRICK: Does it involve prison? EVERYONE: SHUT UP, ROBERT. Another box appears. COUNT BINFACE has entered the meeting. Nobody speaks. Binface raises one metal hand. BINFACE: Good afternoon. I understand you are looking for a serious leader. Farage closes the laptop. The screen goes black. Tice can still be heard shouting: “WE ARE FUCKED.”

So, their only policy is completely unworkable. RefUK are officially useless.
🚨 NEW: Reform UK has announced it would deploy the Royal Navy to make the English Channel "impenetrable" to small boat migrants

Long before Britpop dominated the charts, Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machine proved that two musicians could make as much noise as a full band. "Sheriff Fatman," released in 1989, became their breakthrough single, pairing biting social satire with punk energy and samples in a way that felt unlike anything else in British indie music. This live performance at Brixton Academy in 1991 captures Carter USM at the height of their early success, with the crowd responding to the song that helped define their career.

I proudly boasted about having claimed "zero personal expenses". Which is not surprising when you consider that there is no such thing as 'personal expenses' for MPs, so nobody has claimed any. But I have claimed over £150k in office expenses.
