An excellent analysis of where Europe is right now.

My predictions the AI game will be won by mobile platform owners (Google and Apple) and the one that will have a monopoly on automation lf enterprise processes ( Anthropic has a slight advantage).
The new kid on the block, like Uber, will take 5-8 years to become a cash cow.
My AI predictions.
In the next 1 to 3 years, Open AI or Anthropic, or both, fail / get acquired for a fraction of their current valuations.
Microsoft, Google or a developer tooling company with access to lots of developers and source code like Sonar or JetBrains wins AI in software engineering.
Probably with smaller, local, specialised models.
Other domain specific companies spring up to win domains such as mathematics, legal, writing, etc.
TL/DR: The technology isn’t going away, but the financial bubble will burst.
What do you think?

🦔Andreessen Horowitz laid off most of its 34 person team that helps its startups recruit talent, Axios reports. The few who are left will move into individual investing groups like growth and crypto, and the firm declined to comment.
My Take
I think a16z is bracing for a tougher stretch. In the past week CoreWeave’s bonds hit distress levels, Firmus pulled its IPO, and Character AI filed for bankruptcy three years after a16z led its $150 million round at a $1 billion valuation. The biggest venture firm in tech no longer paying a central team to help its companies hire means it expects those companies to need fewer people, or to have less money to pay them.
Venture firms collect management fees for years no matter what, so a cut like this usually reflects what they expect next. Some of it is AI taking over recruiting and the work itself, but I think most of it is money getting harder to raise for anyone outside the biggest AI labs. I expect more firms to quietly shrink their support staff over the next few months, and the startups that make it through will be the ones that can pay for their own hiring out of revenue.

Isn't this solved by agents for 200$/m?
Anthropic is offering a 145k salary for a personal assistant in London.
Responsibilities include:
"Scheduling and managing calendars for leader(s) and their organization"
"Building and maintaining organizational systems for tracking and managing inbound requests"
"Managing the leader's inbox and communications with precise attention to detail"
"Handling travel logistics"
Somebody should really build some sort of tech tool that can handle this stuff autonomously.

If you explained agriculture to folks in SF, you'd blow so many minds. It's... self-replicating, recursively self-improving nanotech for the physical world. And it's all open-source!
One instance can turn into hundreds of seeds, that turn into hundreds of instances. Next thing you know you have trillions of them. It's super-exponential
