Was great having breakfast with this business legend yesterday @geraldratner It’s funny, people always remember the ill fated gaff of the crap decanter set (not Jewlellery) but this guy employed over 25,000 people during his tenure, took the US by storm and was head of a FTSE 250 company. That’s a success in my books

A beautiful weekend in London. It still makes me smile to think the Blackwell Tunnel was finished in 1897, a proud Victorian entrance where the tunnel had to be curved to avoid the horses seeing daylight at the end of the tunnel and bolting towards it.
